Default Paul Broughton Medal Winner: Ryan James

Congrats to James who worked so hard all year, well deserved winner.

Some will say Jai Arrow deserved it and he would have been a good winner, but he was impacted by injury in the last 1/3 of the year.

In my head i had Jai as our best for first half the year, with James behind him and then second half i had AJ as best with James next best, so it makes sense that his consistency got him the medal.

Some of James defense in the last month or 6 weeks has been so gutsy and heroic. Just throwing himself everywhere when he was exhausted and chopping blokes down close to the line. amazing.

and AJ finished 3rd despits only played 2/3 of the season. Huge effort from a rookie and shows the impact he had - was regularly our best the last month. Mick Gordon's wrist injury has launched a star.\

Just googled who Jennifer Cross is. She's the player education manager. After reading the article about all the Certificates and Degrees some of the lads are doing I'd say she's doing a great job and good to see her recognised.

    ...
Yes, a great rookie season for Brimson; on a points per game basis he was equal with James - 15 points in 15 games vs 23 in 23 (though Arrow did get his 22 points in 21 games).

It’s also some what telling, and concerning, that AJ got 4 more points than Taylor (11 points in 23 games) even though he played 8 less games.
