I'd be all for Leleisiuao returning too. Couldn't find his profile on the nswrl site but he shows up a bunch here https://www.nswrl.com.au/stats/

1st in run metres, 2nd in post contact metres, 1st in tackle breaks (double the amount of the guy in 2nd).

Definitely think it would be helpful to have someone of his nature here.

Tackles like a floor mop but that should keep him in with the bunch.

This is from the Mole this morning:
    BULLDOGS LOSE TOP ASSISTANT
The Bulldogs have lost highly respected assistant coach David Penna to the Titans next season.
A tryscoring ace at the Eels and Souths in the 1990s, Penna was an assistant coach for over 10 years at both Manly and the Dogs.
He has been signed up as part of a new broom that is going through the Titans after years of mediocrity.
And Penna will switch from coaching to a key role in recruitment and pathways to ensure the Titans keep their best young talent and bring in the right players to supplement their squad.

Keep in mind the Mole also said Furner and Tony Iro are our assistants the day after Holbrook was announced and nothings come of that so who knows how reliable he is.

Is it the same Mole who posted about Holbrook being our man on this very board weeks before anyone else even mentioned his name?

From Wikipedia. He’s played in the halves. Might be handy.

Penna made his debut for the Parramatta Eels in 1990. He played 22 games over four seasons, often at centre or five-eighth.[2]

In 1994 he moved to join the South Sydney Rabbitohs and played 56 games for the club over four seasons, usually at centre or fullback.

In 1998 Penna returned to Parramatta where he was usually used at five-eighth before moving into the halfback position in 1999. In 2000 Penna was forced to retire after breaking his neck twice and suffering six concussions in the single season.[3]

I dunno mate, this post from 24th May seems borderline prophetic in hindsight.

The top of the article said that he'll actually be situated with Tweed.

"The Bulldogs have lost highly respected assistant coach David Penna to the Titans' feeder club Tweed Heads next season."

Sounds like he will be in a roll where he identifies talent coming through the grades and gets them ready for first grade. Sounds like a good addition and another step towards promting juniors rather than buying outsiders.

Nah man I can see why you’d think that but if you know the mole you’d know that 1: he’s not a Titans fan and 2: He’s not smart enough to say that
Mole the journo just throws darts at a wall and when he happens to get something right he harps on about it for weeks. I’m almost certain he said Walters was guaranteed to come here

Hell yeah to Matto. Would solve our left edge problems. No idea why Tigers would let him go though.
