Oh great. This quote from Meninga was just reported on the news.
"Under no circumstances will Peachey be leaving this year"
There were rumours circulating at the beginning of the season that Peachey allegedly said he would run dead at the Titans. Last weeks performance showed it was not a rumour but a fact. The bloke should be dropped to ISC for the rest of the season as far as I am concerned with his lack of dedication, discipline and more importantly his lack of having a dig for his team mates.
That is not completely true. Buzz Rothfield reported that a high profile recruit going to a new club said that. I wouldn't believe a word that comes from his mouth though, he is well known for twisting the truth.
The lack of information from the club about Peachey's injury is not helping the situation though.
And then he tried to get out of his contract which we made him honour, he gave away more crucial penalties that lost us games (plural) before being benched, now he's playing like a bum and feigning injury. I'd say Buzz was pretty spot on.
He's a bum and needs to moved on before any coach at the Titans, to dig our heels in makes as much sense as Peter Beattie did yesterday doubling down on the Sydney Grand Final.
Peachey’s Behaviours and actions onfield at best are suspicious
In all my years of following footy I’ve never felt that way about a player
Another backflip from our management who has now agreed to release King to Storm. Having this played out in public and changing their minds shows what an amateur administration we have. By the way where is our CEO. Talk about a phantom.

Titans backflip on Max King Storm move, Lebanon players in the dark

The injury that ruled Jai Arrow out of Queensland’s State of Origin team was a major roadblock for his Gold Coast teammate Max King after the Titans cancelled his move to the Storm — while he was driving to Melbourne.
In extraordinary scenes, King had said his farewells to his Titans teammates and even passed a medical to join the Storm before the June 30 trade deadline.
It is understood his car was packed and he had started the 18-hour drive south to Melbourne when he got the call to make a U-turn after the Titans did a backflip on their *decision.
After initially agreeing to let him go, the *Titans told King he wouldn’t be granted a release and would need to stay as cover for Arrow, whose ankle injury could sideline him for six weeks. The Titans are also without Ryan James for the rest of the season, while Kevin Proctor is out for about two weeks with an eye socket injury.

Max King’s bizarre contract saga at the Titans has taken another twist with Gold Coast bosses today agreeing to release the prop to Melbourne — for a second time.
The Titans have performed more backflips than a Russian gymnast, initially agreeing to letting King go, then blocking the move, only to change their mind again to finally free him to join the Melbourne Storm.
The Courier-Mail can reveal the messy transfer before June 30 is finally over with King to officially begin training with the Storm on Sunday.
In a head-spinning contract saga, King was set to join the Storm last week on a two-and-a-half year deal until the end of 2021 before Jai Arrow and Tyrone Peachey suffered injuries in Gold Coast’s loss to the Warriors.
King had said his farewells to his Titans teammates and even passed a medical to join the Storm before the June 30 trade deadline.
The 22-year-old packed his contents into his car and had started the 18-hour drive to Melbourne when he received a call to make a U-turn after the Titans cancelled the move due to their injury dramas.
The Titans advised King they needed him to stay as cover for Arrow, who could miss the rest of the season with ankle ligament damage that could sideline him for up to three months.
The Titans are also without skipper Ryan James for the rest of the season, while Kevin Proctor is sidelined for another fortnight with an eye-socket injury.
^^^ thanks JB
Well that suggests King is staying

But now the Titans have changed their mind again.
It is understood King received fresh notification this morning from Titans recruitment chiefs that he is free to join the Storm immediately.
The rising prop will re-pack his car again in the coming days and hopes to be considered for selection for Melbourne’s round 15 clash against the Roosters at Adelaide Oval next Friday night.
