Whilst it is great to see us being a team that players want to come to, I still worry it is for a different reason. I fear a lot of players come to us to either a). retire on a nice pay packet or b). come here to play on big coin and not really give a crap about giving over 50% effort on gameday (e.g Peachey, Idris, Hayne). Maybe just my negativity but it's been proven all too much in the past..

Speaking of Hayne, he is living with his mum at Umina ATM and training with Woy Woy...

He can't play coz he is not registered, although that doesn't stop some clubs... but there is nothing stopping him from registering and playing whilst he awaits his court proceedings.

What’s your thoughts on this mdrew ?

Talented fullback/centre prospect mate, but behind the likes of Tremain Spry and Ioane Seuili and Kea Pere (probably around the same level) is also around thus he probably thought his best opportunity to make the NRL was elsewhere.

Whilst disappointing it is a sign that we have a lot of outstanding youngsters coming through therefore some will have opportunities elsewhere.

For me in two years we will have the best young centre combination in the NRL with Tremain Spry and Ioane Seuili, btoh of whom should be walk up stars for the Queensland U20 side.

With three NRL spots available I would really like to see Darius Farmer and Ioane Seuili upgraded before 30 June and them you have the likes of Ben Thomas and Kea Pere. Maybe one or two no-one expects, you never know

Tim Sheens set to depart Hull KR with immediate effect

Tim Sheens’ time in charge of Hull Kingston Rovers is over.

The former Kangaroos coach, who guided the Robins back to Super League at the first attempt in 2017, is understood to have officially left his post.

Rovers have struggled throughout this season, and are just two points clear of bottom-placed London in Super League. They exited the Challenge Cup to Warrington at the quarter-final stage over the weekend – a match which has proven to be Sheens’ final game in charge of the club.

The 68-year-old was in his third season in charge of the club, taking charge at the beginning of the 2017 season. However, speculation about his future beyond this season has never been too far away, with reports linking York coach James Ford to the post.

Former Robins coach Justin Morgan is also reportedly on the hunt for a return to coaching, but one thing is certain: Rovers are on the hunt for a new coach after ultimately deciding to part ways with Sheens as they continue to fight against relegation at the bottom of the Super League table.

Hull KR’s next game is at home to defending Super League champions Wigan on Sunday.
