Cartwright is the only specialist right edge forward we have after Coke Zero. I would rather him than sending a middle forward out there to fill in. Somebody suggested MoFo and that's exactly what I wouldn't do to a young bloke learning his trade in the middle. Maybe Guerra will knock some sense into him.

Kind of how I see it as well. It’s easy to knock Carty around (literally and metaphorically) but unless you want Greenwood to come in from Burleighs bench then you’ve gotta ride it.

Moe in the backrow is a huge no. Let him learn his trade in the middle off the bench.

Is he coming off the bench? Far Out. He did at times show a bit last year, I’m surprised to hear that.

To be honest, I’d rather nearly anyone than Cartwright at this stage. You can’t have a bloke in the team who’s deliberately missing tackles like he did. Put Greenwood or Simpkins there. May not be stand out performers but at least you know they’re actually going to have a go.

Like I said before, if anybody else missed a tackle like Bryce, they’d be dropped straight away. Elgey admittedly wasn’t defending very well, but he never once completely avoided a tackle. If you’re going to drop Elgey for his defence, it’s hypocritical not to drop Cartwright.

I think you’re missing the point mate - we probably can’t drop Cartwright because we literally do not have enough healthy backrowers to fill out a 17. And I for one am hoping we don’t name young props in the backrow just to find a way to not have him in the team.

Edit: sorry mate I’ve just realised it was your initial post that named Moe and King on the edges - didn’t actually realise that when I used it as an example above

    Allow me to elaborate.

I'd prefer anyone to fill the spot than Cartwright as he isn't in form, thus the comment regarding have Condon play on the right edge (it was a joke).

Brennan losing the dressing room is with regards to the fact that he is happier to blame Lee for letting a try in when he had a two man overlap and saying that Gordon had just as much to answer for for letting Munster in when Gordon was sliding right when Munster straightened and went through the gap that Bryce should have had covered (and did but just didn't do anything about it). So in a nutshell, it won't be long before the lower paid teammates stop showing heart for a coach that actively blames others in the face of the reality that Cartwright shouldn't be playing NRL.

The comment regarding loving reading your comments if Condon was named (remembering that was a joke) was pointed toward your history of not being too fond of the guy.

In saying all that, yes I can see that Cartwright will be named through necessity, doesn't change the fact that he is terrible at his job and will be tested all night. Probably why when we are the home team we aren't the favourites against the Knights.

I’m boarding a flight in Nanjing now and will attend this weekend ... why? So I can blow some smoke up Cartwright’s ar$e.

Cool ok I couldn’t tell if you were suggesting Condon as a player or Coach to replace Brennan. Wait and see for the teams now.

I would like to see just a little bit more tolerance for Bryce C from this forum. I think the short term pain will be worth the long term gain with him. He has got issues but he also has a lot of talent and I think if we can be patient he will come good and bring us a lot of joy.

If he is in a bad place he needs to step away from Footy all together to get his head right for himself and his family. I agree with you that he has talent but unless his head is in the game all be it the Titans or QRL he should for his own head space stand down. It was said that he came up here to get out of Sydney to get out of the Toxic environment however I wonder how much actual family and friend support he has here on the Coast ? If he has limited or none it will hard for him to move on etc.

Yeah, I definitely get where you boys are coming from. Let’s just hope he pulls his finger out this week and has a blinder.

    No worries bud! All good.

Cartwright dropped but still a chance to replace Proctor. Once again Brennan making the good, tough calls. However he needs to stop contradicting his words and needs to stop bagging his own players in public. Glad he took action though, give Cartwright the chance to prove he deserves to don the light blue and gold by having a stint in QCUP.

Cartwright has been named outside the 17. Listed as 18th man

Word of caution though he can be reinstated an hour prior to the game.

Say a prayer that Proctor is fine, but I get the feeling this is a team list to please the masses, right before Brennans "hands are tied" because Proctor doesn't recover in time.
