Regular St George Illawarra hooker Dean Young has been handed some big boots to fill against Penrith at WIN Stadium on Sunday afternoon - skipper Trent Barrett's.
Dragons coach Nathan Brown yesterday named Young at five-eighth as a shock replacement for Barrett, who will miss the match due to a persistent stomach virus.
In further bad news for the red and whites, lock Shaun Timmins is still sidelined with a knee injury and will undergo arthroscopic surgery today, keeping him out for at least another three rounds.
With Young at pivot, Aaron Gorrell will start at hooker, while George Ndaira will make his first grade debut off the interchange bench as the back-up rake.
After making his return from off-season shoulder surgery in Premier League last weekend, Colin Best slots onto one wing to replace Wes Naiqama, who is out with an ankle injury.
