From the big bucks at the Titans to a train-and-trial deal with the Warriors, Ash Taylor's next move has been confirmed.
The Warriors announced on Wednesday the 26-year-old would be joining the club on a conditional deal, with an option in the club's favour to hand Taylor a top 30 contract.

It's a significant fall from grace for the playmaker who was earning more than $900,000 per season on the Gold Coast prior to his release this year.
Taylor joined the Titans in a high-profile switch from the Broncos ahead of the 2016 season when he was considered one of the game's best halfback prospects.
Despite glimpses of his potential, Taylor struggled to find consistent form in his six seasons on the Gold Coast.
The Warriors have already confirmed they'll be based out of Redcliffe next season, making for an easier relocation for Taylor.

Warriors recruitment boss Peter O'Sullivan said Taylor is motivated to produce his best football.
"Ash has backed himself to recapture his best form with the chance of a one-year contract with us," O’Sullivan said.
"He has some very achievable targets set for him and is looking forward to joining the squad next month."
Warriors coach Nathan Brown has backed the change of scenery to help turn Taylor's career around.
"Ash has had some challenges during his career but we all know what he’s capable of and he also brings plenty of experience," Brown said.
"It’s exciting having him onboard and looking to prove himself during the preseason. He’ll provide a different dynamic and we think the change of club could be just what he needs."
If Taylor can find form and win a contract with the Warriors, he'll look to push Shaun Johnson and Chanel Harris-Tavita in the halves positions, with Kodi Nikorima and Sean O'Sullivan providing further competition.
Taylor has played 115 first-grade games since his debut with the Broncos in 2015.
The Warriors finished 12thwith an 8-16 record in 2021, their second consecutive season away from New Zealand amid the pandemic.

Good luck Ash. I'm confident that he has more to give and can be a success. It's all on his shoulders now.

I have a feeling we’re going to see Ash at the Dolphins in 2023. If anyone can refurbish him it’s Big Head Bennett.

Oh hey. So the NZ Warriors will still be based out of Redcliffe in 2022 (I think this relationship will continue for next season). So he'd be around the traps. Credible theory.

Sad to hear this news. I did hold fears that he looked not right a few time on top of the head knocks he got. I wish him the best.

That’s a shame, hope he doesn’t have any long term issues. From memory, he was studying something at uni while he was with us…? Something business related?

Hi mate. Found this about Keegans Studies.

Hipgrave has a business degree and is completing his MBA at Bond University on the Gold Coast, where he grew up. He will be paid in full for the 2022 season he was signed for at Parramatta, the western Sydney club he praised for making his long-term health a priority.@“

Always liked Hipgrave and his kamikazi style of dropsie football. Can’t say the same for the traitorous shiny ‘Pony Ryan James and his now annual dig at the club that paid him way overs to sit on his butt for more than two years.
