Some talk around twitter and facebook that Cartwright is seeking a release from his contract to return back to Sydney. Only rumour pages and nothing official at the moment but honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was true. Doesn't seem to be settling in well at all and doubt it gets much better.

If he wanted a release from his contract you would grant it to him in a heartbeat so I’m certain that these rumours are totally false

If Carty goes Upgrade Hipgrave and maybe look at Ethan Lowe or Lillyman. Both would be cheaper.

With the reported mess that the Bulldogs salary cap is in you would have to think we could quite easily compete with them. Hope we aren't messing him around.

    HE REMEMBERS THE TITANS

TITANS halfback Ash Taylor could be reunited with former five-eighth Tyrone Roberts next season.

Roberts is homesick in England, eyeing off a potential return to the NRL, and could end up back at the Gold Coast.

Taylor and Roberts are best mates and struck up a handy combination over two seasons at the Titans.

Coach Garth Brennan has found a promising five-eighth prospect in teenager A.J. Brimson, but Roberts would be a handy addition to his squad’s depth next year.

“It’d be awesome,” Taylor said of Roberts returning.

“It’d be awesome if he got a crack here. We’ll see how it unfolds.

“I’d love to see him back here. I love him as a brother. To have him at the Titans would be great.

“At the moment it’s me and A.J. in the halves, and we’re going all right.

“As long as we keep working together, building and winning games, it’s going to be hard to break that combination.”

Roberts knocked back a contract offer from the Titans last year to sign a more lucrative deal with Warrington in the Super League.

Man I don't know. A month ago I said I wanted Roberts back but since Brimson entered the fold I'm not so sure.

I think eventually we could put Brimson at FB and maybe move Gordon to a wing? Having Roberts back would be too good to pass up imo.

Roberts is ordinary and was mostly ordinary for us. He started on fire and morphed back into his Newcar$ehole mode. No to Roberts and the Taylor bromance thanks.

This will be a test of Garth considering Tyrone was the one who put him in touch with Ash to be his mentor. Roberts is a very average footballer and I feel we have moved on from him as a team. It will be interesting to see if Garth can put his personal bias aside.

Problem with Tyrone is he wouldn’t accept being a utility or depth player and he white anted our club. Subsequently he cannot come back.
