Journo's lose credibility everytime they've praised Myles in the last couple of years. It's quite clear they haven't watched any of our games in that time and automatically bundle him into these type of list just because his Rep duties in the past. ****s me to tears..

definitely and i dont agree with you just because his left he lost alot of attacking ability and gives away stupid penalties frequently --- he was good in defense though

it was his sloth like play the balls that got my goat.

so slow like every run he made deserved a few seconds of recognition.

especially when we had momentum or defences stretched ( which was rare, but he found a way to get in the way )

Absolutely hate when the media talks up Myles as being a big loss. He might be a big name in the game but he isn't worthy of being called a star anymore. Only time he plays good is 3 times a year (Origin).

As good as his defence is, his running game is absolutely pathetic. And don't even start me on his error rate and conceded penalties. So many games last year he dropped the ball at crucial times and gave away a lot of penalties. Some say that Ryan James is the same but at least he works hard and contributes a lot of positive to the team.

I'm happy we got Shillo as his replacement.

Here are some stats from 2015:

    Average Metres per game-
    Myles: 66m
    Shillo: 130m

    Average Runs per game-
    Myles: 8
    Shillo: 13

    Tackle effectiveness %-
    Myles: 96%
    Shillo: 94%

    Tackle busts per game-
    Myles: 0.4
    Shillo: 1

    Errors and penalties-
Myles: 16 errors and 19 penalties
Shillo: 6 errors and 17 penalties

Sorry for the long post but I'd have Shillo over Myles anyday.

Couldn't agree more … I reckon if the club hadn't had so much negative press they had good reason to investigate Myles for tanking … bloody disgraceful.

    Shillo: 48 minutes

Can't find Myles. Might have been more but Shillo offered more in his minutes that's for sure.

Happy new year guys. At least it will be until we have to watch that team play against actual NRL teams...

It's hard to be optimistic other than to hope we exceed market expectations by finishing anywhere other than 16th.

    one of ur best posts.

Shillo's output is almost twice that of Myles in most areas except tackle effectiveness, and with respect to SHillo he is not in the very top tier of forwards. he is an honest toiler who will be good value for what we pay him and his off field influence will be a huge bonus, which shows how far down the rung Myles is unless he is wearing the QLD jersey.

Myles output for dollars paid was very poor.

and Teke is right about Sezer and Myles. Sezer only played a handful of really good games before last year, and last was good but not amazing still.

Roberts is a genuine loss and if he kept going would be pretty special in the next couple of years. they are talking him up like weve lost the next billy Slater or GI though. He will be an immortal before round 1 at this rate

"My No.1 preference is left but I can play both sides as well. At the moment I've been training on the left and [McQueen] has been training on the right so maybe we'll see how that pans out," said Taia.

"I know he can play left as well and he's done well playing left in his career so at the moment it's hard to know where Neil [Henry, Titans coach] wants us to play. I think that's how it is at the moment with him training right and I'm training left.

"This is the time now when you are going to have to set your goals of who you're going to be playing inside and outside of.

"At the moment I've been training with Josh Hoffman and Ash Taylor on my inside and outside so I'd like to think that will probably be the combination right there but we don't know yet so it's kind of hard to say."

    So we can basically confirm:

    Left side - Taia/Taylor/Hoffman/Don(?)
    Right side - McQueen/Roberts/Nene/Mead

    With Zilly at fullback....

    So predicted line up:
    1. Zilly
    2. Don (?)
    3. Hoff
    4. Nene
    5. Mead
    6. Taylor
    7. Roberts
    8. Douglas
    9. Friend
    10. Shillo/James
    11. Taia
    12. McQueen

Right side is mint. Left side could be too as long as Hoffman passes. The fullback spot looks terrible.

That as a team doesn't look half bad especially when you consider a bench of Pettybourne/Paasi/James or Shillo/ Mosely or Simpkins. Zillman is going to need to convince almost everyone he is worthy of the fullback position but i can let him run with it. Not sure whats happening with morts though.

Team's looking great other than the FB spot. Need an fullback or centre to cover that position.

I think James on the bench would be good, of course with sided with Paasi, Moseley and possibly Pulu.
