I think you have to get these young blokes like Kelly playing first grade this year, so they know how it works. He definitely deserves to at least be a competitor for the wing spot in years to come, just need to make sure we don't lose him to another club.

BK yes maybe. But everyone else no.. Its a huge step up to NRL from QCup, let alone NYC 20s. Let them ply their trade in NYC or QCup, gain some experience by playing trials and training. I dont want to see GL turn into a Sione Matautia. The kid is still 18.

none of these kids will be Sione matu'utia's. What happened to Sione will probably never happen to anyone ever again. Alot of our younger guys need small amounts of game time to get experience but not be in long enough to either take the game or break the game. I'd like to think that the fact that we have a whole year thats going to be unsuccessful we should be giving these kids some first grade minutes and give them a reason to stay, as all these talented kids could form a future backline. BK should definately get a start and GL can come in should injuries strike.

How much are we paying for zillman, i know he comes off contract at the end of next year (the same time as bird) so given their both on roughly $500000 each do we make a play for another marquee player. Canavan might have links to SBW or Hayne. Maybe even a few roosters player. Elliot maybe?

As i said, the only one remotely close to being ready for First Grade = BK. All the rest no way, unless its a dire situations for injuries. Leave them be. Play in trials and Nines to give them a taste.

He'd be a pretty neat ambassador. Big name to bring in crowds. You could probably get a descent 2 years out of him.
