Youre preaching to the choir about the currents fbs. There is a little thing called Salary cap. You will not have 400 k playing in Q cup or 400 plus sitting on the wing. No way no how

I'm afraid I'm onboard with Zillman and Hoffmann sharing Fullback/Centre duties with McDonald being the other centre until such time as we sign a proper centre.
I genuinely feel we are a top shelf centre and forward away from being an exciting team if Annesley/Henry and now Canavan could get off their bums and do their job.
It wasn't long ago that I was one of the most pessimistic in the forum.

isnt being close to being an exciting team precisely because they got off their bums and are doing the job?

there is still more to do, but lets give credit where it is due. they have made measured signings in lieu of being able to sign marquee names, and when you add them up, we have a reasonable group.

we can't really harp on about Henry and Annesley's recruitment. Don't forget there was a time when Daly Cherry-Evans was going to playing for us. there are no descent fullbacks/front rowers on the market right now and i am getting tired of us signing players their own team don't want. We should chase someone like Tedesco when he comes off contract.

Just a side note. Did some searching and we have apparently signed Paterika Vaivai from the Knights. Depth front rower.

Not sure about him as I haven't really heard of him.

I thought he signed with the Raiders last year. read something about reports he signed with us being false.

Nah hasn't signed with Raiders. But we have denied that we offered him a contract. Who knows what's happening.

Sure the Titans could use more really good forward but I feel there is enough talent at the club to hold their own against most if injuries are kind. The backline is another story TBH. Also the hooker position is an issue and the halves too but we will need to be patient with that position.

He is pure garbage. Signing Pomeroy would be right up there with giving Zillman the life time contract he has. An absolute cluster ****.

[5 Year Contract]

To me Zillman is the constant glaring reminder of the Carty/Searle era. He epitomises exactly what went wrong with our club and how our culture changed into rewarding poor players with inflated contracts. Nothing will make me happier to see the end of him then hopefully we can get on with it. That said if i am stuck between Zilly and Hoff i take Hoff any day of the week.
