Great to see that the club and Kane are both keen and working on him being here for the long term.
Good to hear. Not to steal your link but there was other news regarding Inu from the same link.
INU THE TITAN?
Source: News Corp Australia
There were reports a few weeks back that Krisnan Inu could be bound for the Gold Coast but Titans coach Neil Henry has all but squashed those reports.
In need of a centre following the departure of James Roberts, the former Eel, Warrior and Bulldog has been linked with an NRL return.
Currently in France, playing for Catalans, Inu is a former New Zealand international but Henry said it’s highly unlikely the 28-year-old will be a Titan in 2016.
“He’s an experienced player but I think he’s pretty settled there (in France),” Henry said.
“Their season has already started. We’re hopeful there’s still a bit of movement before (season) kick-off and even after kick-off, up until the June 30 deadline. We still probably need a bit of depth in the centres.”
I realise he wouldn't really fit in our roster considering we seem to be keen on developing younger players. But would it be worth looking at Cronk 'n if so, how much would be considered a fair offer to throw at him?
For other clubs that can use $600,000 of cap and $400,000 TPA he could be a good buy for his last 2 years.
Like Cam Smith he will probably end up being a pretty good coach after footy is finished for him. With his media interests (Tara) he will be in Sydney if he was to go anywhere anyway.
But for us he wouldn't be worth it, need to invest in the 3 halves we have and keep searching for that superstar in the backs.
Zillman is a joke. They are kidding themselves if they keep playing him at fullback. They deserve to lose with him even in the team. An absolute joke that he is seen as some sort of marquee player at the Titans.

Who are the other fullbacks?? Hoffman?? Hahaha he is a winger/centre not a star fullback. Zillman?? Well we know he is trash. Mead? He isn't really a fullback either but at least he has some speed. Mead will probably leave the club after his current contract is up.
Some of Hoffman's best games for the Broncos were on the wing. His best asset is his kick returns which he can still do from the wing. Zillman is another story all together. If we had a better option at full back than what we currently have, Hoff on the wing wouldn't be a bad thing.
He may not feature in 2016 due to injury but Kane Elgey is top priority on the Gold Coast.
Sidelined with a torn ACL, which happened during pre-season training, the halfback has a clause in his favour which will see him stay at the club in 2017. However the Titans want to make the decision easy for Elgey, ignoring the option and instead beginning talks with the 22-year-old about an upgrade and extension.
Foxsports.com.au understands Neil Henry wants to lock Elgey up until at least the end of 2018 with two- and three-year terms the topic of discussion
Elgey’s manager Tas Bartlett confirmed the club and player are on the same page.
“We’ve had initial talks with the Titans,” he said.
“Kane hopes to become a one-club player and would like his future sorted sooner rather than later, but at the moment his focus is on his rehab.”
One of the most exciting players on the open market, Elgey could command some serious money should he take his talents elsewhere and that’s something the Titans are well aware of.
Elgey was on a second-tier contract in 2015 before earning an upgrade after attracting interest from Manly after Daly Cherry-Evans originally signed with the Titans before backflipping on the deal.
According to Greg Bird, he’s been pestering the former Australian Schoolboys representative to re-sign for months.
“I’ve already been in his ear,” Bird told foxsports.com.au.
“I’m sure we’ll be able to lock him down.
“He’s a Gold Coast junior and the minimum games we’ve seen him play for the club, he’s shone and I’m sure he’s definitely in (coach Henry’s) ideas for the future.”

I think we are idiots for persisting with this Zillman at fullback joke. He has clearly showed he has neither the speed, strength, defensive awareness or basic stopping ability to be anything other than a complete waste of cap space. I still dont understand why to media and coaches he is seen as a marquee asset to our club. I feel like im taking crazy pills at times that no one else sees it
