As much as I think we need to support our juniors, importing class players is a must too ... the issue is stopping the protected species mentality that seems to be entrenched in our club. We can't always produce the players to win a premiership and must attract unique talent but each and every player must go through the same selection criteria and scrutiny.
Selecting Zillman, for example, after a whole year without playing NRL due to injury is a travesty on how many levels? Recruiting Sarginson or Hurrell is fine but they need to be able to show that they are better than what we have. Melbourne wont let him go without a fight... depends if they have the money to match the big offers(i.e. if they resign cronk or not) especially with slater's shoulder being like glass... Maybe its like Locke is linked to them?

Ok, I understand signing 1 decent establish centre, but two? Still hearing we are after Konrad... This will just make the jnr's go elsewhere. If it was before the season started I could understand but now we know we have a couple of decent lads coming through its just a road block now.
