OMG Tony Webeck just gave me a heart attack. Posted something about Meady doing a hammy in the press conference. Turns out he was just trolling though and it was only a cramp

I just found the fact that we had no bench left and yet they still found it in themselves to get the win is bloody brilliant!
Still placing my faith in King for the times ahead. Next season won't come fast enough for me.

That was a great game to be at. Edge of the seat, sweaty palms kinda great game that makes you want to throw your money at the team next year and sign up straight away.

Couple of things from the members forum that the club is already pushing through. Injured players down in the members bar before the game started. Don and R James taking photos and signing whatevers. Then after the game finished the players started at the southern end of the ground and worked their way north so as to not miss thanking anyone. Myles and Sezer came to the fence too.

Good crowd figure to finish the year too hopefully makes the membership departments job a wee bit easier for next year.

Team played like a team and played for each other today. I think that's what the difference was. Whether that was the OLD BOYS or the retirees or the players not playing for the club next year they need to bottle and embrace that kinsmanship and take it into next year.

WOW what a day at the footy.

-Paasi had his best game ever in Titans colours and a well deserved man of the match. Never really rated him as a backrower but he was so dominant tonight and was solid in defence. If he gets fitter (looks really knackered after big work load periods) then we might have found our backrower.

-Elgey once again showed so much class and skill. I'm a lot more confident with him as our main half next year after seeing his last few weeks without Sezer. Great young player.

-Big Dave Taylor once again proving he is so unpredictable. Had an absolute blinder and if he played like that more often, we wouldn't have released him. At least he gave himself a good farewell in Titans colours. Thanks Dave for all the good times and unfortunate that he doesn't play like that all the time. He has the skill.

-Morts deserves a big wrap. We have all given him rubbish over the years but he played pretty solid tonight. A few good kicks, put Dave through holes and was once again solid in defence.

-Know I'm being critical but I have to say that Roberts just needs to learn to be smarter. This will come with experience but for all his outstanding efforts he comes up with some ordinary plays in return. Also needs to get fitter but the guy is our leading try scorer for the year so I can't complain too much.

-Congrats to Mr Never Give Up, Meady. Good to see him bag two tries after an 11 game drought. Always gives 110%.

Anyway, just great to get the two points at home. Hopefully either the Tigers or Knights will lose next week (or both).
Pretty much nailed it there T4L. The game was rocks and diamonds but I haven't enjoyed a game as much for a while and just hope we can add a classy forward or two as players teams drop out of the finals.
I don't know where Paasi pulled that game from but he was great in attack. Will be hard to work out how to use him if he doesn't get some mobility in defence but hopefully king will sort that out.
Taylor just showed what a waste of talent he is and his aggro with Thompson was good to see. I was disappointed they didn't meet up in the second half. Burr continues to prove he is not up to NRL (yet anyway) but today was a nice team performance memory to take away.
I am glad we didn't get the spoon as we are certainly not the worst team running around and have improved heaps since last year.

    What was the crowd figure

The crowd was something like 12,300 and pretty damn vocal, which was great to hear. Edge of the seat game but so glad to come away with the two points.

12k which seemed like a true number for once.

Haven't read other posts yet but it was a fantastic match to be at & I'd hope there's more of that style of play next season , another great game from LG & for me Agnassius Passi was the best on the park , great game from Mead & DT too just a shame he's having a go when the season like him is gone

I agree Ipswich Titans that I would be hard pressed remembering one better to be at. The crowd was great and the atmosphere amazing.

Agree with you there Pete. Great match to be at and great to see the crowd really get behind the boys. Passi was my MOM he was giving Frezielle and Benji real headaches running at them all game. For me it's pleasing seeing LG finally find his voice in the team and just bodes well for next year with this year under his belt. One observation I had with Morts as I thought he played solid in the 6 was that he let LG dominate for the most part and he just sat back and tried stuff. For mine probably Morts best game for us in the 6 Jersey.

    yeah really entertaining.

its funny the tries for both teams were soft and pretty chit, but the attack between the two 10 metres lines was really good and exciting, especially in the second half.

and DT's second dive over try was not planned im sure... Morts didnt roll the ball at all,it just sort of sat there, and you can see DT look at it, then must go damn it if i've gotta take a step in to pick it up im gonna go with it.

Paasi was almost Tapau level today.

Cant wait till the new recruits get here, have a wicked pre season and lets go 2016.

Jeez, teke, stop peeing in everyone's cornflakes! It was a fantastic game. Sure, the Titans have a loooong way to go before they'll ever be a real finals force, but for the moment we just want to savor an absolutely entertaining game and edge of the seat win!
