Guys Peteru is simply not fit enough to be playing NRL football right now. He's got great size (and even some speed which is rare for a Titans forward pack!!) but he was absolutely gassed against Manly after only 5-10 minutes. We've bought him in, we've looked at him and now the conditioning team know what they need to do to get him right for next season. Brisbane are a small but very mobile pack and we simply can't afford a passenger in the middle third.
I don't know how all the relates to White getting selected though?? Apparently he's been OK in QCup and he has played well for us in the past.
As for Mortimer, at least he was selected to play at hooker and not in the halves where he is absolutely brutal.
It is ridiculous to suggest that we should be unchanged after the past two weeks, the problem is we have no NRL ready depth.
any change that doesn't include the captain being dropped isnt fair dinkum.
Freddy says it like it is:

When the Titans are bad, Brad Fittler says Gold Coast fans don't have to go far to find some respite."When things aren't working well, they can just go to the beach, face New Zealand and go for a swim and life feels better for a while."
The latest iteration of a Gold Coast footy team is suffering on the field, winning just six of 17 games this season and only two of their past nine.
And former Roosters coach Fittler says their players are as the city has been – non-committal and non-confrontational.
"Everything about what they're doing at the moment just shows a real lack of care," he told SportsFan's Will McCloy.
"The spirit they showed was so disappointing. All I see now when I watch Titans players in any sort of challenge, when it's a little bit aggressive, is them wincing and pulling faces and just not wanting to be there."
Fittler says the change in attitude has nothing to do with the Daly Cherry-Evans saga, which also saw co-captain Nate Myles decide to leave Gold Coast to join Manly from 2016.
"Nate's one of the ones wincing at the moment ... (and) he's one of the toughest blokes I know," he said.
"They all have to move on and show a bit of respect for their jersey."
The Titans will this weekend face Queensland rivals Brisbane, who are flying on top of the NRL ladder with a 14-3 record.
Fresh from a 42-16 thumping of bottom side Wests Tigers, Fittler says the Broncos will probably win by even more against Gold Coast.
Worringly for SportsFan readers, he's also offered up a bit of a dare for himself and Will McCloy.
"I think it'll be at least 40. The Broncos are very efficient at the moment. If you give them a gap, they're going to score a try. Simple," he said.
"And the Titans, there's no way... You know what, I've seen some weird things in footy. But if they win, we're nude next week."
Let's go Brisbane.
