Just watched the presser. Henry will monitor Mortimers head knock so he can hopefully back up next week. Phew. I was worried for a minute that we learnt from our mistakes.

Glad i didnt waste my $$ going to the game. The guys should really feel crap, the poor fans that turned up in that weather only to be depressed walking out the gate. If morts plays next week,im done for the year...

Why was Bird in the press conference with Henry. Where was our illustrious Captain?

Mate, I've been supporting various versions of Gold Coast teams since 88, and have seen a lot worse results and performances. Hell, I've even watched 3 seasons straight of wooden spoons. It sucks losing, but it doesn't make me want to go home and kick the dog.
I actually go to games and don't take to heart the result, because it's simply just footy - I go and enjoy talking to the players, and watching a team I support. A win is always a bonus.
Good points mate. I watched that rabble so it's 90 minutes that I wasted as well.
I have also seen a few versions of the Gold Coast NRL teams and I am desperate for this version to stay around. That is probably the reason I get frustrated by the large steps backwards just as we seemed to be moving forward. Yep it's just a game but believe me playing regular finals footy beats the hell out of what we have been served up the last 3-4 years. I always go but unfortunately many people have realised that there are better things to spend their time and money on.
I have grown up following a club where a win was always expected, not a bonus, and would love to see that approach take hold at the Titans. But yeah, it's just a game I guess.
A variety of reactions to our dysfunctional performance which is why the Forum is so much fun, for me at least. As there is an airing of motivations then here's mine:
Rugby league has played no less than 25% of my working time and as much as 75% at different periods in my life, until I came to China 14 years ago. So the establishment of the Titans rekindled my interest in the NRL because it is the only one of my 'hobbies' accessible from afar. As I'm sure Diehard will attest to, following a club from behind the Great Chinese Firewall (although Hong Kong doesn't face that limitation like Nanjing does) has lots of issues that need to be worked around.
However, like MT stated, people find other interests when the balance between enjoyment, mateship and expectation are exceeded by embarrassment, ridicule and frustration. The latter being what our club has sunk back into.
I tend to forget the Warriors game because of my euphoria in actually getting to a game but it counts for me as a turning point followed by the Manly shaming and yesterday's debacle. I have no idea what our coaching staff can be thinking or doing.
These are experienced managers and as we all know experienced managers actually manage situations like this … so where is our management? Why aren't they communicating with the public with some form of reassurances? In my opinion it's because they are hiding something which I fear is 'no hope'.
I will never call our coach the moniker reserved for Queensland's best ever player, mainly because he hasn't earned it and as teke points out he and his staff are accountable.
Spare a thought for Aquis.
And the heritage strip? Rubbish, looks like a wishy-washy Brothers copy. Aaaah, that feels better

Four reasons to escape to Queensland: Sun, Surf, Sand & the Titans.
That jersey last night was ok, but it is not a " heritage" strip. Other than last season, that design has had no place in Gold Coast national rl teams.
I'd really like titans to do a Giants jersey with the silver, black and white, Tweed seagulls have used these colours in their away jersey this season, and it looks deadly!

Something like this perhaps! Personally don't like it but it utilises the colours purple, teal and silver and stays loyal to the current design.
