This one will be reminiscent of Rd 2 at Bathurst. The Eels are a completely different side in their own backyard.

Parramatta are literally the slowest side in the comp atm. Slow dawdling fullback, slow predictable 5/8. I give this Titans side half a chance to win.

I'll go a step further and I'm feeling confident this week. I'll be tipping the Titans. It is an away game after all.

Titans must learn to win: Zillman

    Ed Jackson
    April 6, 2015, 10:55 am

Five games into the 2015 NRL season and Gold Coast star Will Zillman says the Titans have forgotten something pretty important - how to win.

The Titans' 26-16 derby loss to rivals Brisbane last Friday leaves them with just one win and four losses this season, and was their third straight close defeat at home following narrow losses to Newcastle and Wests Tigers earlier in the campaign.

It's a stark contrast to the start of last year when the Titans won five of their first six matches, mostly by narrow margins.

Zillman says it's simply a matter of re-discovering that lost art of grinding out tough wins.

"It's about learning how to win," Zillman said.

"You need to grind out wins throughout the year and we're just not doing that at the moment.

"We had one close win against the Sharks but there's three other close games that we feel we had the chance to win and we just didn't take it. We really need to learn how to do that."

Since ending round six last year top of the ladder the Titans have picked up just five wins from 23 games including just one win at home, a golden-point success in last year's final game of the season against Canterbury.

"It's certainly about the confidence," Zillman said.

"It does become a habit and you learn how to win and you learn how to grind those tough games out. That's what we're learning at the moment."

"At the end of every season there'll be five or six games where you say we should have won those games but the cold hard fact is you didn't.

"You need to learn from those matches, move on from them, but learn from them too."

You can only laugh when they are interviewing the only player almost every supporter believes should be off the bench for Tweed & nowhere near an NRL team

    its crazy.

this is gods honest truth that i thought with the expansion of nrl360 into 3 nights, plus sterlo on the couch that the extra time and coverage would allow more analysis and evaluation of players.

in the AFL version, they are relentless in their exposure of players not performing.

We should run a sweep - at what time in the game will Zillman be moved back to FB. Poor Hoff.

It's not about the lost art of winning games, or grinding out the tough ones. It's about getting the errors out of your game and committing yourself for the entire time out on the paddock!

Gold Coast Titans announce unchanged line-up to take on Eels

TRAVIS MEYN Gold Coast Bulletin April 07, 2015 4:34PM

GOLD Coast Titans coach Neil Henry has named an unchanged team for Saturday’s trip to Parramatta.

The Titans suffered a 26-16 loss to Brisbane on Good Friday which was their fourth defeat from five matches this year.

WHY THE TITANS V BRONCOS CLASH WAS ALMOST IN SYDNEY

But Henry is sticking solid with his players for the clash against the unpredictable Eels.

Captain Nate Myles (cork) and emerging prop Agnatius Paasi (ankle) will be monitored throughout the week but Henry said he expected the same 17 to take the field.

“For large parts of the game (against Brisbane) it was a pretty good effort,” he said.

“We’re a bit limited with who’s available due to a few injuries but I’d like to show faith in the 17.

“Paasi has a sprain to a ligament in the foot but he’ll be out of the moon boot tomorrow and we’ll see how he trains.

“Matt White could step in, he hasn’t played for a couple of weeks but he’s training well.”
