yeah I don't really get why other Maroons supporters who don't support the Titans would really care about what's happened.
Either way I'm just sitting back and enjoying the aftermath now.
Gold Coast paper, defending the Gold Coast club ... pretty brave front page and stuff those who don't like it ... great that somebody has some balls.
Four reasons to escape to Queensland: Sun, Surf, Sand & the Titans.
Read the page. Everything that being a Maroon is about he hasn't shown those qualities, therefore, we are digging the knife in and trying to get some momentum behind the fact that, purely from a revenge point of view, we want him to lose his jersey.
I'm hoping Brisbane boo him on Friday night too, so he knows that he's not liked up here anymore.
Billy Moore just made the most sense I've heard from most.
Every time Manly don't make final 4, DCE will be to blame.
Every time Manly can't retain a player, DCE will be to blame.
Every time Manly can't recruit, DCE will be to blame.
That's a huge burden to wear for the rest of your career.

From a Queenland point of view, no blues players have those qualities therefore DCE should play for you guys. The only capped NSW players at the Titans are Bird (need I say more).

Tackle Three - The clause that almost broke DCE's heart
Months of negotiations to keep Daly Cherry-Evans at Manly almost collapsed at the last minute, because of a dispute over the final two years of his 'lifetime' contract. Just hours before Wednesday's press conference, Manly officials and DCE's management were still arguing over who should enjoy a two-year option, which was placed on the end of the six-year deal, potentially tying the player to Brookvale until the end of 2023.
In the end, Manly had simply invested too much and had to surrender, giving DCE an incredible power base. On top his wage being locked into future salary cap increases, DCE will succeed Jamie Lyon as Sea Eagles captain in 2017 and has close friends Nate Myles and Darcy Lussick joining the club next season.
One man we can't imagine being so impressed at the extraordinary lengths Manly went to keep DCE is fullback Brett Stewart. It's no secret the pair aren't on the best of terms, with Stewart adamant that DCE has made cash grabs at the expense of more senior players. Now DCE is the richest man in rugby league and the undisputed kingpin of Manly, we can't imagine Stewart would be too impressed.
Meanwhile, Gold Coast Titans CEO Graham Annesley says the club is here for the long term and despite missing out on DCE there are some positives. The Titans will now spend the massive money set aside for Cherry Evans on three other key positional players. Annesley and coach Neil Henry are keen to cast the net wide and remain committed to Greg Bird, whose management was in talks with Manly right up until this week. There's now no chance of Bird becoming a Sea Eagle.
Bird, Henry and Annesley held a recent discussion. Henry wants Bird to stay but only if his heart is truly in it. The signs have since been positive that Bird will complete the final two years of his current contract - and possibly his career - on the Gold Coast.

A few things here ...
WOW Cherry really has Manly over a barrel now. I can see this turning sour very easily.
I'd love to hear what snake really thinks about all of this - hard to imagine he will stick around at Manly much longer. Maybe their new dCEO will grant him a release!
Sounds like Birdy is back in our club's long term plans - which is probably a good thing. Would love to see him step down from origin and focus on club footy, but i doubt it will happen.
OK you Qlders can rain down on me if you want but WTF with the Bulletin! What has this DCE bull$h1t got to do with NSW?? I am offended by this. Seriously, I am.
I am all for banter when the series is on. I give and I take and I sit back and enjoy the digs that get thrown around but that article (and picture) is way way over the top.
