Queensland Rugby League has today confirmed the Channel 9 television matches for the opening eight rounds of the 2015 Intrust Super Cup season.

The grand final replay between defending premiers Northern Pride and Easts Tigers will be followed by the highly anticipated Round 2 clash between Ipswich Jets and competition newcomers Townsville Blackhawks at the North Ipswich Reserve.

The Blackhawks will feature again in an explosive Round 3 northern derby against the Pride in Cairns.

Television coverage this year will commence from 1.30pm with kick off at 1.50pm (approximately).

Ten different teams will feature in the television coverage across the opening eight weeks.



Intrust Super Cup Channel 9 allocations:

Round 1: Easts Tigers v Northern Pride @ Tap Out Energy Stadium

Round 2: Ipswich Jets v Townsville Blackhawks @ North Ipswich Reserve

Round 3: Northern Pride v Townsville Blackhawks @ Barlow Park

Round 4: Norths Devils v Redcliffe Dolphins @ Bishop Park

Round 5: Easts Tigers v Souths Logan Magpies @ Tap Out Energy Stadium

Round 6: Wynnum Manly Seagulls v PNG Hunters @ BMD Kougari Oval

Round 7: Ipswich Jets v Burleigh Bears @ North Ipswich Reserve

Round 8: Wynnum Manly Seagulls v Norths Devils @BMD Kougari Oval

I think the Blackhawks will give the comp a big shake up in their first year, they have an an excellent line up with of Cowboys juniors from the 20s grandfinal losing squad a few years ago.
