Agree with MDrew.. Nelson has a big future, he will only get better. Also have to note hes only 18 turning 19 (i think). Hes a mongrel as well. And we lack that intimidation factor in our pack.

With respect, Glen Hall, Scott Bolton and someone even mentioned Latimore a couple of months back. These guys are honest footballers. But so is Matt White and we need to off load him sooner then later. Big aggressive forwards are what we need.

I reckon that list was pretty spot on to be honest. Munster would be a huge get.

I'm a bit gun shy at throwing too much at anyone. We may have cap space, and no fans or journalists know for sure, but I wouldn't want a situation of paying overs for potential. Clearly we have to start from the bottom to build a playing group culture. If any of those players have what it takes to do that, then by all means pursue him, but we have yet to see our players play as a team and live up to their potential. eg as far as I know we have always been right up there in missed tackles, penalties and errors. (maybe my addled brain after so many years of mediocrity). my hope for the year was to see progressive improvement, I still hope that. No one player will get this rabble playing as a team.

You're right TB and that's why players like Shillington, Bolton and even Nathan Friend would bring stability to the playing group. Those young blokes need that from some hardheads rather than firebrands. We have skill but we have no heart.

Papa, Guerra or Copley would be my picks, M'bye I'm not too fussed on. Throw in Bolton as well if he's at a good price. Glen Hall I don't rate at all anymore.

Looks like Toovey is being shown the door by Monday or Tuesday. Hopefully he whiteants the place like Myles has us before he goes. Opportunity for a half's coach whilst being paid for by Manly.

He won't do that because, unlike Myles, he has pride in his reputation.

Like I said, I hope the board moves heaven and earth to get him here!!

Also wouldn't hurt our chances of bringing old Ken Arthurson on side with our club as he lives on the coast. Is there a man that knows more about winning and club culture left around the game than this champion? He's chat with Sterlo a few weeks back was great stuff.

Anyone have The Australian newspaper account who can post up the rest of this article?

I want this bloke badly, has heart, genuine gun, in my eyes superior superior to Mead, Hoffman, Don,l Nene (just injury prone) and he will only get better were I feel most of them have peaked even though I like them all as players

Except for Nene who over the off season will bulk up a bit and become a bit of an attacking weapon

Looking at the unwanted 14 from Manly, I think Starling could be a good pick up in the front row. Fast, fit and still has another year on his contract with Manly which means they'll pay some of his way which saves us some cash.
