LOL, what quantifies as "NRL level" these days.. Didn't we as a team concede something like 600-650 points this year?

Rankin was a good ball runner, and had some good passing skills, but was a bit spotty in consistency. Never really got a good crack under our coach. i think he did better then he received credit for and i was glad that he got out of our club to find a chance and grow his game. Could turn around and do a Blake Austin in a few years out of no where if someone shows some faith in him.
Beau had good skills, especially kicking but had some attitude problems (Wayne Bennett let him go from TWO clubs before he was 21), although seemed to grow up a bit in Qcup last couple of years. I think a good coach could get him to a serviceable NRL level filling gaps, but he doubt he would be a starter now. i didnt follow Beau quite as closely so someone else might have a better take on him

TITANS TO POUNCE
Gold Coast are on the verge of signing South Sydney young gun John Olive.
Foxsports.com.au understands the Titans have presented Olive with a deal that would tie him to the club until the end of 2018.
The 18-year-old centre made his NRL debut against the Wests Tigers in round 14 this season.

That's a big pick up if we can pull it off
I'd hope he's looking elsewhere anyway because he is at the very bottom of our pecking order for wingers
Olive will be a centre long term IMO. Its where he represented NSW U20's and plays there for north sydney despite having the 2 or 5 on his back.
Him and Nene will battle it out for that left centre spot and it will come down to who can defend better...well atleast i hope this is the case and i'm trying to forget we still have Zill on the books
The Ipswich Jets are on TV this Sunday in a Q Cup final to see who advances to play the Blackhawks. We have two guys signed from the Jets next year but I can't remember who they are. If you watch the game, keep your eye on the Jets hooker. He was in our own backyard and we let him slip away to Manly - he looks a dead set gun!! I'd have loved to see a hooking rotation between Mosely and him.
Would like to see a wing/centre combination of Olive and MacDonald
Our potential backline in a few years
1. Leleisiauo
2. Kelly/TRD
3. Roberts
4. MacDonald
5. Olive
Teke where you watching the right Kelly as the brian Kelly I watched is an outstanding talent and his form in the NYC this year when he was on the paddock was great, he did get moved about a fair bit by the coach form wing to fullback to centre but he excelled when I watched him play
teke likes em lightening fast - should be a fan of Olive
Olive and BK are both 20's eligible next year too. Absolutely terrorised QLD 20's this year on that left edge. Made Marion Seve look like childs play
