The Gold Coast Titans announced at the 2015 Season Launch that the vacant naming rights sponsor position on front of the playing jersey will be given to Ronald McDonald House until the position is filled.

It means the Titans will run onto Cbus Super Stadium for the 2015 opener against Wests Tigers on Saturday March 7 with the charity’s well-identified branding, clearly visible.

The club has had an ongoing strong relationship with Ronald McDonald House (south-east Queensland) as part of its commitment to the community and is delighted to provide this significant exposure to such a well-respected cause.

“We will continue to contribute to the community of the Gold Coast by donating the front of jersey branding to Ronald McDonald House,” announced chairman Rebecca Frizelle at last night’s launch.

“This will provide further awareness to a charity that provides an amazing support to so many of our Gold Coast families. This is our way of saying thank you to the Gold Coast.

“This partnership will remain in place until we secure a naming rights sponsor”, said Frizelle.

Representatives of Ronald McDonald House – Steve Whitehead and Mike Atkins were on hand to accept the jersey with emblazoned with the charity’s logo.

“Ronald McDonald Gold Coast are extremely proud of the relationship and partnership with the Gold Coast Titans. We have had a very close relationship for a couple of years and we appreciate the support you give us and particularly the fund-raising for our charity, Ronald McDonald House, which supports families on the Gold Coast and fringe areas beyond,” said Mr Atkins.

“We look forward to strengthening the relationship this year so we can generate more funds and continue to grow and assist the community. We really appreciate this gesture.”

Ronald McDonald House is an existing charity partner of the Titans and was a major beneficiary of last year’s charity ball with White Ribbon. The charity is also supported by the Audi Red Boot Rally, which collectively raised more than $300,000 for the Ronald McDonald House in 2014.

Aquis sign-on as major sponsor

The Gold Coast Titans and internationally renowned integrated resort development company, The Aquis Group, have today announced a naming rights partnership that will see the club known as the Aquis Gold Coast Titans for the remainder of 2015 and 2016.

The Aquis Group is a major investor in Queensland and Australia and has recently revealed plans to purchase the Sheraton Mirage Resort on the Gold Coast. This follows their acquisition of sites in Surfers Paradise, Varsity Lakes and the Patinack Farm assets at Canungra.

Today’s announcement is a massive show of support for the future of the Titans and the direction the club is taking under a recently released five-year strategic plan to continuously improve the club’s fortunes.

The Aquis logo on the front of the Titans’ jersey will replace the Ronald McDonald House logo which has occupied the space since the start of the season as part of the Titans’ commitment to the local community, and the outstanding contribution Ronald McDonald House makes in helping the families of sick children.

“I welcome Aquis to the Titans family and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship,” Titans CEO Graham Annesley said at today’s announcement. “I also want to personally thank Tony and Justin Fung from Aquis for their faith in the vision we have for the club’s future.

“It will also provide a tremendous boost to Neil Henry and our entire playing group as we continue our 2015 NRL campaign following a solid first half of the season.”

Becoming the naming rights sponsor of the Titans reflects the genuine desire of Aquis to support the community by investing in local organisations that are important to the community of the Gold Coast.

“This is an exciting opportunity for us to build the Aquis brand on the Gold Coast ahead of a major economic investment program,” said Aquis CEO Justin Fung.

“Aquis has big ambitions on the Gold Coast and we are committed to assisting the Titans to grow and prosper.

“We have been impressed by our dealings with the Titans and found them to be a very professional organisation. We look to our future partnership with great optimism.”

While the initial agreement covers the remainder of 2015 and 2016, negotiations are already underway to extend the contract into 2017 and beyond.

This significant breakthrough for the Titans comes on the back of other recent sponsorship announcements as well as the re-signing of two of the NRL’s most exciting young prospects in James Roberts and local junior Kane Elgey.

Aquis Gold Coast Titans chairman, Rebecca Frizelle, said the board and management of the club are delighted to have secured such a major international brand in Aquis.

“The Aquis partnership provides the club with a great springboard to future success both on and off the field,” Frizelle said.

“We all have high hopes for the Aquis Gold Coast Titans over the coming years and this partnership is a significant step in the right direction.”

Actually mate they are already on sale. They were selling at the stadium yesterday for $90. I can't understand why they were so cheap as a new jersey is usually about $160 but they were the real deal. I assume the shop at Pac Fair would have them as well.
Didn't see any of the away jerseys, only the home one.

Club would want the new branded Jersey out in circulation quite quick to maximise the new deal. Also the club might be subsiding the jersey for a while out of good will to the fans. Either was win /win.
