I think the point that most of you are missing is that a large part of the review related to the day to day running of the club and the procedures involved in the back office. Who answers to whom? Which departments are responsible for which outcomes? How can the club maximise its output from human capital while minimising its expenses?

The football department is all that we care about and I think the club has been very transparent here, they have sacked the underperforming head coach and they have instituted an experienced replacement.

Assume everyone just got the email?

The process encompassed a large cross section of staff, players, management, members, sponsors and other stakeholders.
Sounds pretty full on, be interesting to see what is released to the public.

Gotta mention that I'm loving how much more open the club seems to be these days.

You will have to scroll down a bit but the article says that if the NRL step in that the licence will go to Brisbane second team. It's critical that we all re do our memberships and not let this happen.

    Thanks for pointing this out.

But moving the Titans would be double stupidity.

We need a Gold Coast team and Brisbane doesnt want a recycled team they can't embrace as their own.

As you said we need to support the Titans so they stay on the Gold Coast.

Gold Coast Titans staff to learn fate next week after review presented to club board
TRAVIS MEYN GOLD COAST BULLETIN SEPTEMBER 20, 2014 12:00AM

GOLD Coast Titans staff will be summoned to a meeting next week to learn of their futures following the finalisation of the club’s internal review.

Independent sports administrator Dave Arthur yesterday presented a comprehensive report of the club’s operations to its board of directors — Rebecca Frizelle, Darryl Kelly and Paul Donovan — and CEO Graham Annesley.

The “full review” was eight weeks in the making and canvassed the club’s entire operations.

It was commissioned as Titans hierarchy came to the realisation the club was destined to miss the NRL finals for the fourth straight year.

Concerns over revenue streams, management structures and position responsibilities were also raised in the process.

Foundation coach John Cartwright resigned shortly after the review began along with club founder Michael Searle.

Arthur presented a range of recommendations at the meeting and the club later issued a statement saying: “The board today deferred any decisions in relation to specific recommendations so they could fully consider the findings and discuss next steps with Titans personnel before any public release of the information.”

Those discussions will happen next week when staff are notified of the next step in the process.

New coach Neil Henry has already made changes to his football staff but the off-field departments are set for a shake-up.

Annesley wouldn’t reveal the recommendations Arthur handed down, saying the club’s staff needed to be briefed before the information was made public.

“The report has been completed but the board doesn’t want to rush into decisions,” he said.

“They want to be able to absorb the content and talk internally with staff before making any decisions. I don’t expect that will take too long.

“One of the things we want to do before anything else is have the staff across it.

“It effects the organisation so they’re entitled to be advised before anything is made public.

“They’ll get their own briefing next week now that the report’s been received and the board will make some decisions following that.

“We will make a public statement about the report and hopefully release parts of the report.”

The board was originally expected to receive the report at last month’s scheduled meeting however it took longer than expected to compile.

Annesley said that had lengthened the process but there were no recommendations which required immediate action.

“It has taken a little bit longer than we initially anticipated,” he said.

“There’s nothing in it that required an urgent decision. The board wants to make sure they make the right decisions.

“They didn’t’ want to rush straight into decisions having only just had the first chance (yesterday) to talk about it.”

Some of our off field departments certainly need a shake up. I am pleased to see them included in a holistic club review.

Also need a complete broom through the football department. We need a good appointment for Head of Football.

Glad to hear some of the review will be made public. I think fans, members and potential investors deserve some kind of insight into the future direction of the club.

New coaching team, move to Coomera. I'd say the review showed problems and they're addressing them already
