Default Delayed telecasts to be switched off

The NRL will consider kicking off Sunday games at 4pm so they can be shown live on Channel Nine. The network's head of sport, Steve Crawley told Triple M it would telecast the matches live if the kick-off times were changed. While fans believe Nine delays the games to insert more ads, industry insiders insist Nine just wants a high ratings show leading into its news. Asked about Crawley’s comments, NRL director of football Todd Greenberg told Set of Six in a text: ‘‘It’s a possibility but we’d need to consider that in the middle of the year. Games would finish in the dark and may affect crowds for Sunday afternoon football."

As much as I do complain about the delayed Sunday arvo game.... Delaying kick-off to align with ch9 telecast could have a negative effect on crowd numbers...

The Easier we make it for people to watch at home.....the more people we will have, watching the game at home....

Hah not intentional. Maybe I just do them without thinking these days. But Greek mythology is damn interesting.

It is a double edged sword. For someone like me, you might convince them to go to a game 2:00pm on a Sunday Arvo, but there'd be a pretty slim chance at 4:00pm. So they're right to some extent.

If they want to maintain ratings into news time. Simply put something on worth watching you wooducks!
