    BRONCOS V ROOSTERS

The Roosters remain unchanged for the clash. Ben Hannant was named in place of Josh McGuire (suspended), but isn’t expected to play due to a hamstring injury sustained at training this week. He is likely to be replaced by former Rooster Martin Kennedy in the starting side, with young gun Corey Oates added to the bench. Oates will become part of the forward rotation, despite playing most of his NRL in the backs.

    Broncos 'retire' No.5 jersey

In the ultimate sign of respect, the Broncos No.5 jersey left behind by injured ex-Test winger Jharal Yow Yeh will be "retired" for Friday night's NRL clash with Sydney Roosters at Suncorp Stadium.

But the player who has snapped up Brisbane's vacant No.10 jumper may also have just as much impact on the blockbuster.

The Broncos initially planned to honour Yow Yeh with a lap of honour on Friday night after he finally succumbed to a horror 2012 ankle fracture and announced his retirement.

However, Brisbane confirmed on Tuesday that they would also retire the No.5 jersey he once wore for the night.

Lachlan Maranta will wear No.18 on Brisbane's wing.

While still coming to terms with 24-year-old Yow Yeh's decision, Brisbane's Alex Glenn believed the man wearing No.10 for the suspended Josh McGuire - ex-Test prop Ben Hannant - may feature just as prominently on Friday night.

Despite the Roosters again being without the suspended Sonny Bill Williams, backrower Glenn believed Hannant would need to step up to blunt the Roosters' monster pack.

"Losing him (McGuire) is a big loss," Glenn said.

"They (Roosters) still have a big pack, one of the biggest in the comp.

"I know they will use their strength and crash through the middle. Once they get a roll on they are going to be hard to stop.

"But we pride on ourselves on defence and this week that's not going to change."

Meanwhile some of the cavalry is returning for Cronulla, with Todd Carney (hamstring) and Siosaia Vave (suspension) named for Saturday night's clash with the Dragons.

Thrashed 42-4 on Monday night by the Bulldogs, Cronulla will still be without the likes of Paul Gallen, Beau Ryan, Jeff Robson and Andrew Fifita.

The Dragons have named Jack Stockwell and Jack De Belin on an extended bench with Sam Williams still at halfback for Michael Witt (shoulder).

An unchanged Dogs will line up on Saturday against surprise packets Penrith, who welcome back Jamie Soward (back) and Tim Grant (ribs), while Nigel Plum is in the front row for Brent Kite.

For Manly, backrower Glenn Stewart and Daly Cherry-Evans (neck) were named for Sunday's clash with Parramatta despite both not training on Tuesday, however brother Brett Stewart (hamstring) is still considered another week away.

Nathan Peats returns for the Eels with Darcy Lussick (suspension) out and playmaker Chris Sandow again in NSW Cup.

The Cowboys have added Tariq Sims to the starting backrow for Saturday night's home showdown with a New Zealand Warriors squad featuring Konrad Hurrell and Sione Lousi on an extended bench.

Joel Reddy will make his South Sydney debut, replacing centre Beau Champion, while Chris McQueen returns for Friday night's clash with Wests Tigers.

Canberra have named David Shillington (ribs) on the bench for Sunday night's home clash with Gold Coast.

Good game & as much as the Donkeys deserved to win I was very happy with the Rooters scoring twice within 5 minutes to steal the victory.......

Of all the young players in the game today my no1 choice to steal would be Roger Tuivasa-Sheck he is brilliant
