i just did some research and these were the coaches in charge of the other clubs when we last made the finals.

    Broncos - Ivan Henjak
    Bulldogs - Kevin Moore
    Canberra - David Furner
    Cronulla - Ricky Stuart
    Manly - Des Hasler
    Melbourne - Craig Bellamy
    Newcastle - Rick Stone
    New Zealand -Ivan Cleary
    Coyboys - Neil Henry
    Parramatta - Daniel Anderson
    Penrith - Matt Elliot
    Souths - John Lang
    Roosters - Brian Smith
    Dragons - Bennett
    Tigers - Tim Sheens

only us and Melbourne have the same coach. Everyone else has moved forward seeking success, alot of which still were having more success than us, but dont accept that standard and look to improve.

Primarily because we gave the inept bloke a 5 year contract that even Shonky Searle can't seem to get out of.

Can I get back to you after tomorrow night. Surely we will beat the Tigers home - that's one.

the opening round has made me think a bit more about where we will finish. The game has seemingly gotten faster with the rule changes, which shows average teams from last year looking alot better. their recruitment has also obviously helped.

It was after 2010 that the titans and a bunch of teams with less effective structures fell away as the game got sower and defenses harder to unlock. you had to really earn your way through good plans and movements.

Now its speedier and you can surge forward with swift dummy half play and surging forward runs. rather than unlock the defence, i think you can ride the wave down field and score easier. Will we adapt and make the most of this new change? that is the question.

We have some big skillful forwards, and it could suit us really well. It encourages me, but i know that most teams will improve along with us.

I've said it before but I'm starting to think this season is resembling 2013. Good start to the season followed by falling out of the top 8 and never really solidifying a place back in the top 8. However, this season has been more extreme in the sense that they have reached the summit of the ladder and then find themselves out of the top 8 four weeks later. It's been a roller coaster thus far.

The answer to the question on topic is simple, either: we select the correct team and we challenge for the eight or we continue as we are and finish 12th.

I still think what I have said before and agree with Titanic that the point is moot unless Carty selections change.
