White's NRL season in doubt over injury
Travis Meyn | 10:05am February 12, 2013
THE Gold Coast Titans have been dealt a blow with the possibility of reliable prop Matt White missing the entire 2013 NRL season with a knee injury.
White copped an innocuous knock just minutes into the club's first pre-season trial against the Warriors at Pizzey Park on Saturday.
He had scans yesterday and will receive the official results today, but Titans doctors fear the interchange specialist has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.
If their fears are realised, White will be forced to undergo a reconstruction which will rule him out for at least nine months.
It is a crushing blow for White, who played 19 NRL matches last year and has become an integral part of the team's interchange set-up.
Meanwhile, the Titans said they have not been contacted by the NRL in relation to the Australian Crime Commission's report into corruption and drugs in sport.

Love White's contribution and wish him a speedy recovery. As one door closes another opens and James/Ioane will have a grand opportunity to claim that jersey.

Even though he is signed til 2015, I don't see him getting a run next year with all the young blokes coming through. Best of luck to him.
So early in the season...after all that training and to get an injury like that must be shattering! Wish him the best with the operation and subsequent recovery...perhaps a new member of the Legion...there is a vacant spot there after Flash has returned to the playing group!
Perhaps a new cult figure is in the wings!
Takes almost a season to get your confidence back after such a nasty injury...
I was also going to say that he has never scored a try....EVER! But he deserves one. Just to make sure I was correct I googled and according to Wiki he has scored 1 try and that was for the Titans.
Unless my memory is once more playing games with me I do not think this is accurate.
Can anyone confirm?
Picked this up in the LOD article. Anything to it?Back-up hooker Beau Falloon (knee) has confirmed he will be fit for round 1 while halves Aidan Sezer (ankle) and Albert Kelly (hip) missed training yesterday with minor complaints.
Kevin Gordon is expected to recover from a slight medial ligament strain in his knee before the Sharks clash.

This is going to be a heart stepping year for fans I think. Any mention of injury to those two in particular will have us panicking...
