2014 draw discussion

Okay. Seeing as last time I tried to talk about our draw for next year I was branded an AFL fan (still don't know why I'm not allowed to like both sports) trying to promote their game, I'll try and keep AFL to a minimum here. As we all know we have asked the NRL in the past to not clash with the team whose name shall not be said and looking at their draw that was released today, we can see the weekends that are open for us. The draw is scheduled to come out in the next few weeks.

2014 weekends without clashes
March 7-10
March 21-24
March 28-31

April 18-21

May 2-5
May 9-12
May 16-19
May 30-2 June

June 13-16
June 27-30

July 11-14
July 18-21
July 25-28

August 8-11
August 22-25

September 5-8

This gives us 14 non-clashing weekends for our 12 home games next year. Now I presume we will get 12 home games on the Gold Coast after moving one to Darwin this year. Decipher what you will from those dates but I'd be very surprised if majority of our games weren't played on those weekends. Now we just need to find out who we play and on what day.

I hear you but the premise of my thread was basically based around their just released draw. We have to be realistic about things and realise that we are going to work around them because the NRL draw is released later. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the release of the draw and seeing who we play!

This is the GC, not Melbourne... The NRL scheduling people won't care what the AFL is doing here as it makes no difference.

I am seeing on other forums that the 2014 Draw will be released at midday AEST on 4 December.

We had a deal 2013 draw but just finishing outside the 8 SHOULD get us a few more night games
