Before I start I just want to say this is an educated guess. The 2013 season started in early March and I presume 2014 will follow. Now you might be asking why do we get a home game in round 1? Well I just read that the Suns will be playing Richmond at Metricon the following week and I seriously doubt we are going to clash with them, especially considering Richmond are one of the bigger clubs in the AFL. I also don't think we'll get the first game of the season on a Thursday and I doubt we'll get a Monday game. Now for our opponents... I think it's highly doubtful we'll get either of the Grand Finalists so we can just about remove Manly and Roosters from the conversation.

Who would you like to see us play in round 1? I wouldn't mind seeing the Cowboys come to Robina for round 1 to be honest.

In the last three years we have played two Sunday games in Round 1 that kicked off at 1pm (due to daylight saving down South). Both times it was bloody hot and the games were a joke of a standard. Lets just hope we do not get an early day game, although we were told it would never happen again after the first instance.

I think we will see another Sunday game unfortunately with the Broncos given Friday. Would be nice to see otherwise. Hopefully its Cowboys or Warriors to kick the year off with a big game.

Cowboys would be a good match. Finished 8th and 9th 2013, we have their old coach, would be easy to promote and should be an exciting game. Friday night too!
