    Default A few positives this season

    Even though we finaished second last in NYC this year, there still some positives among the many negatives. The players below made positive steps:

    Mitch Sharp - Mitch came into the side around the half way mark of the season nad was very impressive before he slowed down at seasons end. Mitch should anchor the front row next year;

    Shaun Hudson - Shaun made a sparkling debut on the wing and transitioned well to fullback before a leg injury ended his season. He scored two tries and kicked eight goals. The only question is where he plays next year, fullback, centre or wing;

    Nathan Wilson - Nathan was in and out of the side, but played well. Settled into a dummy half role, should start next year;

    Anthony Colemen - Only played two games late but was solid playing on the wing. Was one of the best players in the Group 1 1st grade grand final, will move into the forwards next year and is a real talent.

    Sam Gee - In his second year in NYC, even though he still has two years of eligibility left. Was still inconsistant, but was absolutely dominent in some games, including the game against the Bronco's at Suncorp Stadium;

    Tevita Folau - Only played the last half dozen games in NYC but scored 4 tries, including two doubles, a great athlete, hopefully moves into the centres next year, where his struggles under the high ball will be less evident.

    Jackson Clarke - Jackson only played a couple of games coming off the bench in the backrow, but no one will outwork him, a starting spot next year is not out of the question.

    Kane Elgey - Kane for me was the NYC player of the year, he scored 12 tries and kicked 25 goals, he is still eligible for NYC next year, but hopefully he gets some time in the Qcup.

    Jahrome Hughes - Played well and obviously made his first grade debut. My only doubt is his best position, for me centre.

    Everything else about Tevita's game is above average but he gets down on himself if he drops a high ball, that will come with maturity
