I don't care if we only have one signing for next year … and it's a decent head coach. There's nothing dramatically wrong with the squad, the depth or our juniors except they can't seem to combine. A few retirements, a few young heads and a decent game plan would be make for an interesting season.

You're right Titanic. If our only signing next year is a new coach that would make me happy as well.

Triple M NRL's Barry Toohey says despite Darius Boyd having a year to run on his contract, the Knights fullback could end up at the Titans next season.

The 29-year-old has been below his best to start the season with reports his form slump is due to a fallout with former club owner Nathan Tinkler.

    He's 26.

I'd take Boyd if he brought Bennett with him.

His form hasn't been good this yr and his effort at times has been horrible, id say the knights off field issues has got to him.

isn't boyd owed a heap of money from third party tinkler arrangements, probably why he is looking at moving also a good reason not for him to perform if owed money.
Still I think we need depth in other places not another fullback behind mead, Roberts and hughes who is playing vey well in the NYC who will be another year older and better player.

Boyd would not be behind Mead, Roberts and Hughes - he would be light years ahead of them. He is as safe as anybody in the competition under the high ball and he is a genuine double threat with his ability to run and pass. If we signed him we would have a very strong back 3 with Mead and Roberts on the wings which would allow us to focus on the centre position.

Under any other coach in the comp, a backline of:

    Kelly
    Sezar
    Roberts
    Tighe
    Whoever
    Mead
    Boyd

Would have points in them behind our strong pack.

Boyd would be nothing but a positive for our club.

Boyd would be a positive but he won't unseat Willy Zlater.

For sure , it would be great for a Mudgeerabba Junior to come home especially if he brought his adopted dad with him

Agree with Boyd being an awesome signing, BUT, with our current coaching staff he would be playing as a prop or something stupid.
This year will be BLUE Go NSW!

On another note.... Especially for Hail Sezer looks like Tautau Moga may sign with the Sharks. Bit of a bummer for us! But expected.

    +1.
Boyd seems to be a bit of a sook at times when things don't go his way but he is going ok in a pretty poor Newcastle side from what I have seen. Would welcome him here especially if he came with Bennett. There is no way Bennett would cop the interference that seems to come from the adminsitration (or get too cosy with them). That would probably be the reason that Bennett would not come here.

I would normally agree about Boyd but he's extremely poor at times this yr, some would say embarrassing.

He's been living off his 09/10 reputation for far too long imo, there is def no double edge to his play cause his running game straight out sucks.

Knights have a stronger backline right now and still dont get the pts.

In saying that Id take his left shoe over Zillman.

Gordon is on a Marquee contract and will be in first grade til injured.
