Meh we won against a crap team whose attack was inept on the day and who were also missing their #1 player. Can't really take a lot out of that half anyway (sorry for the pessimism).

Not withstanding the quality of the opposition that was a much better effort ... Mead went well, Gordon and Don were solid as were Dowling and Takairangi, Harrison was better at 6 than at 13, Sezer had a great game with the ball in hand and defending in closer, Bird was better not interfering in the centres and annoying the middle, Myles/James/Douglas/Taylor/Ridge/Minichiello all looked more interested, Falloon looked better for not having to rotate until late, Irwin and O'Dwyer just made up numbers.

Already know the result but watching the replay now, what about the set when Taylor scored, James off the kick off ran as hard as I've seen, then Douglas goes through, off him go mead and Gordon with 2 scoots, then at the end of that the poor tigers have to try and tackle Dave Taylor 1m out, wow 100m set
