huge gesture. i have wondered if i would bother renewing membership next year.

i guess ill wait and see. its tough as i have looked forward with genuine eagerness for my titans home games this year and had a great time, but its just tough knowing what i know as far as how mis managed and mis coached we are.

i wish i knew less, and could just rock up each week and only concern myself with the good times at the footy...but i cant help my self.

since 2011, ive said that watching our games is like a religion that forces you to self harm to prove your faith...I look forward to that 80 minutes each week, but it feels like an excercise in torure. (i would exclude most of this year tbh, we have been very decent to watch apart from the two games against knights and two games against broncos.)

If you change your mind next year coaster, ill shout you a seat!

This is the reason why I had to hear why we got the cut. Because I too have been mulling over the idea of posting my Families Membership back to them. I guess a few long term members share a similar view.

With that said.. I will still follow the Lads 'n make it to the odd home game. In the meantime I can only hope that one day the changes that need to be made are done once 'n for all 'n turn this into a Club that is about the Community 'n not about an individual. Once the necessary changes have been made, I might then take up Memberships again for my Family. It's a shame it has come to this. But I just can't bring myself to invest in current crock of crap that we've had to endure.

BTW, I commend you for putting it out there, Diehard. Even though you were diplomatic about it. The situation probably needed someone with your calm nature, to get through it. To have a hardcore supporter like yourself having to deal with it must've been heartbreaking at times. Cheers for taking the time to explain your side of it, Mate.

P.S. Just for the record. I haven't come to this decision solely about us getting the chop, from the Club. It's been a combination of things that have been building for some time. This latest incident is just the final straw..

Probably going to bat heads a bit on this forum, as I don't agree with most of you... But I'm allowed an opinion aren't I?
Personally, I got the impression the reason the old forum closed so abruptly was the constant disregard for basic protocol? A lot of stuff being said broke all the rules and a lot of stuff that got posted in the few days before it closed was beyond reasonable. You should be able to disagree with a persons job skills without attacking them or their family personally.

actually most of this started, because i had an opinion on a persons job skills, and was attacked personally by there family member. But lets not allow facts to get in the way.
That was also on a completely different medium (Twitter), so how does that transfer to this forum?

You're most certainly allowed to have an opinion here. It's probably why it's one of the better places on the net in regards to the Titans. Having an opinion and voicing it elsewhere seems a bit dodgy. Because there's a good chance of having your comment deleted and/or account banned at someone's discretion.

But hey, if you really have a beef with someone or something. At least get to your point without the generalisations, be more specific.

I too had this issue in being called out by a member of their family on a different medium, this time Facebook.

The professional role of an NRL coach and his conduct should be reflected by his family too and said family having little rants on social media at fans who question/criticise coaching staff isn't the most appropriate way to go about it. With such relations comes responsibility and an effort to avoid the obvious conflict of interest which is realistically going to be inevitable with some supporters of the club.

Believe it or not, i do not actually have a problem with a actual family member being protective. Its an opinion, just like any of ours, where this went stupid, was the way the Titans handled it.

The funny thing is they think deleting there messages is the answer, but they need to understand a little thing called "Screenshots".

    They actually NEED our support.

But they will always have issues, and it is as simple as they do not respect us.

Otherwise they would be starting a conversation with us on this topic and treat us like adults, instead of allowing someone to create a fake account, and pretend to be something there not. And think we are all to stupid to see through it.
