Now I always wanted a huge touring philosophy in the Titans fan base.
Something DeeGan and I are huge advocates of. And seeing how over 2,000 Wigan fans toured to Perpignan to support Wigan against Les Catalans and how well they flew the flag for rugby league and Wigan.
It really brought home to me how we should really mobilise in general.
But I also think we should strive to pick a game or two that we go all out for. Now I think the Gold Coast will be one of the premier destinations for the NRL's touring fans, but obviously that doesn't work for us! As we get to enjoy the Gold Coast for 12 matches a year.
Our Australian/NRL equivilant of Les Catalans would either be Melbourne or New Zealand. I think we should get both.
Obviously we won't be touring with two thousand fans, but we have to start somewhere and I hope we can have a few dozen make the trip to Melbourne and New Zealand during 2007 and really show our colours.
Those Wigan fans had the time of their lives and I really want to experience that with the Titans and our fans in 2007 and beyond.
It was great fun starting that touring tradition with DeeGan at Coffs Habour a few weeks back.
