I thought Mead done ok in the center up against someone twice the size as him. I was real impressed with Henry aswell
We forgive you. How was The Voice?

Mead had a big task in containing Loko. Loko was schooling T Rex in the contact area when the Eels played the dogs so Meady done well I thought.

Henry is a fine backup half. I see why he was chosen over Rankin.

To me Mead is suited to fullback than he is at centre.

It was an ugly win albeit an exciting win!

Easy to be critical of many parts of our game but we were without 6 players and several of them in the crucial spine area and we still managed to get off the canvas after a dismal, almost comical at stages first half to grab a win...and we definitely needed it.

Time for our rep players to do themselves and those they represent proud and hopefully stay injury free...and for the others to recuperate from what has been IMHO a solid start to the season.

And Cows. They are desperately in need of a quality 9.

After Irwin's performance tonight what will happen with the hooking situation when all are fit? Anyone think he did enough to get the bench spot over falloon

This and he is a truly quality wing before any of that. I hope the surgery is not to destabilising and we see him back very soon.

Winning ugly is one thing but the lack of commitment in defence around the ruck from the forwards for much of the first 60 minutes was very disappointing. As was the back to the future errors. Having a specialist dummy half come on saved us. I wouldn't judge him on one game but he did well under difficult circumstances.

Henry was really a settling influence while I thought our Kelly was rocks and diamonds. Some poor reads in both attack and defence with some redeeming plays as well ... like the last try they say that good players make their own luck and he seems to have a lot of that.

Minichiello showed how much he was hurting being left out and I would swap that for 50 Taylors or O'Dwyers.

Did anybody notice that Myles might have been busted too? Thank heavens for the bye.

Mead broke his jaw at the 15 minute mark so when u think he played poorly I think he was awesome with the effort to stay on the park.

Bird easily man of the Match , Idris 2nd half playing on the left was awesome, young Sammy may be playing a lot more games this year as will Mini.

Henry's kicking game was excellent but give me Salad please

Wow just got home. Had to hang around like a little kid to congratulate Irwin, Henry and mini in great debuts / comebacks.

Haven't seen stats or watched replay but harro was miles from our best. He was the one I was disappointed in. Killing the ball when we are attacking and making errors...but I feel sorry for him that he got shunted to hooker.

Irwin great debut and Don was decent.

Kelly is a crazy little dude, I love him and beau has a super boot.

Was proud of Mini for his effort and comeback.

Zillmans first 20 minutes were really good. Then he dropped back to normal zillman.

Odwyer was a bit of a mess tonight, but poor guy looks like a bullet took a chunk of his lip off.

Idris is a centre. Leave him there.

Mead had just an average first game in a new position. It happens. We all know he's still a star.

All in all, we were very patchy in parts, but it was the old heads causing issues, our new guys and returning players did well and leaves me more comfortable with our depth moving forwards.

4-2 with a rest next week is so much more comfortable than 3-3 and in a pack of average teams like raiders and parra.

It was a super fun night too at the footy.

Has anyone seen Ricky's press conference? Poor bloke... He has lost the plot!!

I thought we were shocking for 60+ mins.
    Usual suspects too...

But a win is win and i'll take it!

I'd love to see Russell and or hymel hunt come in for next game - tonight proves we can afford to take a few risks in that department
