    Awesome.

Much like Bird when he came to us. He first played All Stars. Same with Taylor.

Sezer getting in will be great for us and his development and confidence.

Hard to believe it is Billt Slater's NRL All Stars debut!

Congrats to all the Titans who made it!

Special congrats to Aidan Sezer who will be debuting for the indigenous side over the likes of Chris Sandow and Jamie Soward. Obviously my signature had an impact

I think Sezer's selection will be massive for his development. Playing with JT, GI and under Lozza will be priceless - i hope he learns bucket loads and really am stoked for him.

How does everyone feel about the All Stars concept? Does anyone here vote for the selections [based on who you'd rather sat it out]? It's certainly the worst match of the year to get injured in.

Let's just say I'm happy that Dave Taylor got voted ahead of Nate Myles. Dave probably needs the rep honour confidence boost more, and i think our 2013 campaign will rely far more on Myles staying fit and full of energy, more so that DT.

Surprised Idris got left out despite last year's form, surely he warranted selection ahead of Tahu?? but again... it's probably good news for us that he'll be watching / trialling.

    Thoughts?

It will be a wake up call for Idris, I hope. Should motivate him.

Was Idris ruled out with injury? He'd get picked in the forwards ahead of Peats

Hopefully we can see Taylor line up Prince

I voted less than 4 or 5 hours before voting closed and Idris was still a selectable option?

But you're right, i did read somewhere yesterday about his hip possibly keeping him out.

Will be super interesting to see how Daley uses Sezer.

I'm making the prediction now that this time next year Albert Kelly will play in the All Stars match - I imagine that seeing Sezer and Prince play this year will make it feel all the more achievable.

What about the coach's selections? Both seem ridiculously redundant. Did the Allstars need another prop? Did the indigenous side not need one? Did they really need 3 additional outside backs?

Geese are the ultimate team players.

Finally Prince gets starting spot over that hack Sandow.

Maybe the reason Prince moved to Broncos is that he knew that Broncos supporters would vote for him and that would be the only way he would get a starting spot in the All Stars match.

The indigenous side wasn't voted I don't think

    Taylor out, Harrison in.

Apparently Taylor was ruled unfit because of an Achilles injury. Nate Myles was also ruled unfit due to recent elbow surgery.

Harrison replaces Taylor in NRL All Stars

    AAP Fri, Jan 18, 2013 - 7:59 AM

Gold Coast back-rower Ashley Harrison has been called into the NRL All Stars side to replace injured Titans teammate David Taylor for the pre-season clash against the Indigenous All Stars next month in Brisbane.

Titans medical staff withdrew Taylor from the exhibition match at Suncorp Stadium on February 9 due to an ongoing Achilles injury.

Taylor, recruited from South Sydney for the 2013 season, hasn't played for the Gold Coast yet but was named in the All Stars on Wednesday as the highest ranking Titans player voted for by fans.

He finished narrowly ahead of fellow Queensland State of Origin player Nate Myles, who was also withdrawn this week as he recovers from recent elbow surgery.

Harrison was chosen by All Stars coach Wayne Bennett as the replacement, with the Queensland Origin forward to make his second appearance in the side.

"It's obviously disappointing for the guys that aren't available, but I'm really excited to be involved with the All Stars again," Harrison said.

"It's a great concept and a really enjoyable week so I'm proud to receive the call-up."

    Smoke and mirrors surely.
Four reasons to escape to Queensland: Sun, Surf, Sand & the Titans.
