Default Notes on some of the players that should be in NYC 2013 side

Mitch Denning ? Centre ? Western Lions. Represented NSW Country U18?s in 2012 and has played the last two years in the 1st grade side. Quick gaol kicking outside back.

Sam Johnson ? Centre. Titans NYC in 2012, scoring 4 tries. Played mainly at centre although his favourite position is second row.

Jahrome Hughes ? Fullback. Titans MM/NYC in 2012. Played a couple of games at fullback in 2012, while still eligible for U18, scoring 2 tries. Has previously played 5/8 in Roosters junior teams. Is currently training with 1st grade squad.

Mitch Sharp ? Front Row. Titans MM in 2012. Big strong front rower who represented Maroons U18?s last year.

Jordan Dulay ? Centre. Titans MM in 2012. Skillful fast centre who played some Q Cup colts after MM season. Was the leading try scorer in MM for Titans with 5 in 2012 May start off on a wing in NYC. Big call but reminds me of David Mead.

Hymel Hunt ? Centre. Titans NYC in 2012. Not much more needs to be said. Should make 1st grade debut this year. Has scored 18 tries in the last two years in NYC and represented Qld U20?s last year.

Zac Friend ? Second row ? Titans NYC in 2012. Hard working second row who can be relied to tackle everything that moves. Can play hooker in a pinch, brother of Roosters hooker.

Matt Beddow ? Half ? Titans NYC in 2012. Has played a bit of 5/8 last couple of years, but is a half going forward. Is a class act and should not be discounted if some others fail to fire for 1st grade. Played one or two Q Cup games. Scored 13 tries in NYC over the last two years.

Tom Rowles ? Hooker. Titans NYC in 2012. Nippy hard working hooker. Backed up Sam Irwin last year and should be the front runner for starting spot this season.

Sam Gee ? Second Row ? Titans NYC in 2012 as a 17 year old. Still eligible for U18?s this season. One of the best juniors in our system. Hard running, tackling player with a future.

Sam Harrold ? Lock ? Titans MM/NYC in 2012. Talented ball playing lock who debuted late in the season and performed well. Goal kicker who was the Titans leading points scorer in MM. Has previously represented Australian School Boys.

Caleb Binge - Front row/Second row. Titans NYC 2012. One of our better players last year. I think that he is better suited to second row going forward.

Oliver Percy ? Front row. Titans NYC in 2012. In my opinion played out of position in the front row in 2012. One of the hardest workers, who should be bigger and stronger this season.

Dan Kilian ? Front row ? Titans MM/NYC in 2012. Big strong tough young man, who I think will shine this year. Will add some much needed size to the NYC side.

Dan Donovan ? Second row. Titans MM in 2012, scoring 3 tries in one match. Wide running second row, who can offload more.

Jared Teo ? Wing. Titans NYC in 2012. Not the biggest winger but seems to be able to find his way to the try line, scoring five last year. Has a nack for being in the right place. Will not wow you with his game, but will not let the side down.

Jeriah Nia ? Second row. Titans NYC in 2012. Played mainly off the inter change bench, but made an impact each time. Solidly built player.

Kane Elgey ? Half. Titans NYC in 2012. Tall half who can kick goals and scored 5 tries last season. Still has 2 years of eligibility left in NYC and last years experience will be of great benefit.

Good read that was, thanks mdrew. If Matt Russell plays NYC I presume he would play fullback, so what will that mean for jahrome Hughes? Halves perhaps? You'd know better than me haha

Are these current u/20s able to perform better than past u/20s side. One hopes so.Is it the playing roster or the coaching staff. They have tried a school teacher that failed ,now they are trying a plumber. What is next maybe a Traffic Controller. The club needs a successful u/20s side.

the very first year of the 20's was the club's best chance to make an impact. they had 10 or so players from an u19 brisbane colts comp winning tweed seagulls. they should have done so much better.

by the looks of it, a fair few of the players noted by mdrew, above, have had a crack. i also note that some of these boys are not even training with the u/20's (titans)! they have been sent back to train / trial at club. some at colts, some qcup.

Kyle McConnell - Played U19's and 1st grade in the Bycroft Cup competition last year. Known as a very good defender. Performed very well in the trial against Storms U20 side.

Mitch Hall - Played a handful of games off the bench last. Tries as hard as anybody, but needs to add an offload to his skill set. Big lump of a lad.

Saw a question earlier about Jerome Hughes, he played 5/8th in the warriors trials and his running game looked good.

Moved to FB later, but think hell play at 6 with Russell in the side.

Played mainly 5/8 in junior leagues, and I agree will spend a lot of time there in NYC.
