one of the things that always troubled me about young blokes trying to make their way in the world of professional sport is that they often cling to their roots too much and this inhibits their development. Everybody recognises that the life of a professional sportsperson is limited so their development should not be ******ed by the social morass and educating those kind of blokes is the club's responsibility, imho.

Did some scratching around for you HS and I found out his name is Mark Offerdahl. He played for the U.S in the World Cup. Not sure if he has signed with us fully or just on a train and trial contract.
