That's exactly right. In fact, us Fans are kidding ourselves a lot of the time thinking we know the in's and out's of what goes on within the squad and/or what's best for us.

It's a forum not parliment but they do have something in common which is our right to voice an opinion no matter who is or isn't listening. At least here we know at least half a dozen or so hard-core people with a vaguely similar point of view who are willing to debate the hot topics.

On topic, making Zillman captain will vindicate giving him a five year contract and that's what irks me. At the tail end of last season he showed his true colours, or have we forgotten how, after a few good games, he returned to his early season form. That hardly engenders confidence, imho.

How many NRL fullbacks took 19 rounds to score a try? Personally I'd rather see Zillman in the #14. He's the new Kurt Gidley - great utility but not a stand out in any position.

I have a bad feeling we'll be seeing "#6 W Zillman (c)" in the near future though

I would want Zillman to stay at fullback because he is a talented fullback when on song. But id also want Mead to be given a go. I think if Zillman doesnt play well at fullback then he can truly make the centre position his own. I think he would be good there. He has a bit of speed in him and he likes to run through holes so centre would be a good fit for him. He also works well with the wingers.

Zillman was a liability in all but a handfull of games where the best he did was totally by himself. He does not set other players up and he cannot position himself as a support player. His go is to catch the ball and use his pace. He does not possess a passing game nor a kicking game. Trust your memories guys, you were not mistaken.
