Intrust Super Cup Grand Final Set To Rock

THE traditional Sunday afternoon grand final is on again at Suncorp Stadium with a support cast of entertainment and off-field activities that is guaranteed to bring even more excitement and colour to the Intrust Super Cup?s showpiece day on September 23.

Folk rock duo Busby Marou will perform as the main entertainment, with the award-winning act signing on to provide a uniquely Queensland sound for the afternoon.

Originally from Rockhampton ? Tom Busby and Jeremy Marou have made a splash on the Australian music scene in recent years ? thanks mostly to their debut single ?Biding My Time?.

The song won them an APRA award for Blues and Roots Work of the Year in 2012, while the duo has also taken home a Deadly Award and a Q Song Award for their work.

The performance will lead into the kick-off of the main game at 4pm ? perfect for a relaxing afternoon soaking up the football with family and friends.

Along with the Intrust Super Cup match, fans will be able to enjoy the earlier FOGS Colts and FOGS Cup grand finals which never disappoint.

The unpredictable nature of these games will keep spectators on edge ? so too will the stunning prizes on offer.

Simply by turning up and taking a seat, fans will put themselves in the running to win a brand new Jeep.

One lucky person will also take home a $5000 travel voucher courtesy of Intrust Super.

QRL Major Competitions general manager Jamie O?Connor said the tremendous prizes, along with the performance from acclaimed duo Busby Marou, would add to the spectacle of grand final day.

?While our main focus is the footy itself, we?re committed to putting on a great event that provides a little bit of something for everyone.

?We?re also mindful of the need to attract new supporters to the Intrust Super Cup, a competition that is growing every year thanks to the hard work of the competing clubs and the support from Brendan O?Farrell and his Intrust Super team.?

Gates will open at 11.45am with the FOGS Colts game to kick off at noon and the FOGS Cup at 1.50pm.
