    Kwinn Wolf started from the bench for the Northern Rivers Titans in Round Two of the U18 Laurie Daley Cup against the Central Coast Roosters and after coming onto the field to operate in the front row in the 29th minute Kwinn Wolf took his initial almost immediately from the left of the play the ball to get the ball from ten metres inside his own territory to two metres into Central Coast territory.

    The 32nd minute saw Kwinn Wolf run onto the ball to the left of the dummy half to run the ball from his thirty six metre mark to within two metres of the halfway. Then in the 36th minute Kwinn Wolf took the second hit-up of the second half to run the ball from his own twenty three metre mark to thirty six metres out.

    Kwinn Wolf made a further good run in the 44th minute from the left of the play the ball with Kwinn Wolf able to get the ball to the twenty five metre mark after taking possession twelve metres out from his own try line.

    Ricco Waititi started at right centre for the Northern Rivers Titans in Round Two of the U18 Laurie Daley Cup against the Central Coast Roosters with Ricco Waititi making a good run down the right channel in the 15th minute to get the ball from his own twenty one metre mark to thirty two metres out. Then in the 18th minute from two passes to the right of a Northern Rivers scrum win Ricco Waititi was able to get the ball out to the thirty five metres mark after receiving the ball twenty four metres from his own try line.

    In the 25th minute Ricco Waititi ran onto the ball to the right of the dummy half but to the left of the posts with Ricco Waititi able to get the ball from twelve metres out from his own try line to twenty four metres out. Then in the 29th minute from two passes to the right of the play the ball Ricco Waititi almost set up a Northern Rivers try with a right arm off-load after running the ball from thirty metres to within nineteen metres of the try line before getting an off-load away.

    Ricco Waititi made a try saving tackle in the 43rd minute on the Central Coast left winger No. 5 with Ricco Waititi initially holding him up over the try line before forcing him back into the field of play.

    Round One of the 2024 U18 Laurie Daley Cup competition saw Ayden Byrnes named on the bench for the Northern Rivers Titans against the Newcastle Knights however Ayden Byrnes was ruled out of the match late in the week.

    Ayden Byrnes was also named on the bench in Round Two away to the Central Coast Roosters with Ayden Byrnes coming onto the field to operate at lock in the 17th minute with Ayden Byrnes doing exceptionally well in the 42nd minute when with Central Coast attacking the try line Ayden Byrnes raced off the line and intercepted an attempted Roosters cut out pass just three metres from the try line with Ayden Byrnes that able to return the ball out to the twenty one metre mark through the centre of the field.

    Then in the 43rd minute Ayden Byrnes made another good defensive effort with a big tackle on the Central Coast No. 8 to put him on his back to significantly slow the play the ball down a metre short of the try line and four metres to the right of the goal posts.

    Round One of the 2024 Cyril Connell Cup competition saw Brodie Saunders start from the bench for the Burleigh Bears against the Souths Logan Magpies and after coming onto the field to operate at lock in the 27th minute Brodie Saunders recorded a line break assist in the 38th minute when after taking the ball deep into the Souths Logan defensive line still six metres inside his own territory Brodie Saunders threw a well weighted short ball to his right to put one of his replacement front rowers through a gap.

    Earlier in the 30th minute Brodie Saunders broke a tackle after running onto the ball to the left of the dummy half as Brodie Saunders carried the ball from thirty metres out from his own try line to the forty metre mark. Then in the 33rd minute Brodie Saunders was able to break another tackle as he got the ball from twenty eight metres from his own try line to within ten metres of the halfway mark.

    Round One of the 2024 U17 Cyril Connell Cup season saw Benji Quinlan start at lock for the Tweed Heads Seagulls against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls with Benji Quinlan scoring in just the 2nd minute of the match when after taking possession of the ball to the left of the dummy half and thirteen metres from the try line, Benji Quinlan cut off his left foot and burst through three attempted tackles to get the ball down three metres to the left of the goal posts but unfortunately Benji Quinlan was injured scoring the try and had to come off the field for an extended period.

    Earlier Benji Quinlan had taken the fourth hit-up of the match from the Wynnum Manly kick-off with Benji Quinlan getting the ball out to the thirty five metre mark with the referee calling six again after Benji Quinlan was held down by the defence for too long.

    Round One of the 2024 U17 Cyril Connell Cup season saw Dylan Watkins start on the right wing for the Tweed Heads Seagulls against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls with Dylan Watkins running onto the ball to the left of the play the ball in the 32nd minute with Dylan Watkins breaking two tackles as he ran the ball from sixteen metres out from his own try line to forty metres out with Dylan Watkins then awarded a penalty for a strip by the Wynnum Manly defence.

    The 35th minute then saw Dylan Watkins run out of dummy half to his left and carry the ball from sixteen metres out from his own try line to twenty eight metres out.

    Round One of the 2024 U17 Cyril Connell Cup season saw Tavake Tau’a’alo start from the bench for the Tweed Heads Seagulls against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls with Tavake Tau’a’alo scoring in the 52nd minute when after Tweed Heads were awarded a penalty ten metres out and directly in front of the goal posts, Tavake Tau’a’alo charged onto the ball and after a subtle step off his right foot Tavake Tau’a’alo got close to the try line and it appeared the ball was over as he was being held by four defenders but Tavake Tau’a’alo had other ideas and spun to his left to get the ball down under the posts.

    After coming onto the field in the 15th minute to operate in the front row, Tavake Tau’a’alo immediately ran onto the ball two passes to the left of the play and ball from the halfway mark to thirty four metres from the try line. Then two tackles later Tavake Tau’a’alo was able to make an additional fifteen metres to get the ball within ten metres of the try line just to the left of the uprights.

    In the 33rd minute Tavake Tau’a’alo was able to get the ball to within a metre from the try line next to the left upright after running onto the ball from fifteen metres put and to the right of the dummy half. Tavake Tau’a’alo added a further strong run in the 46th minute that saw him carry the ball through the centre of the field from twenty metres out and to the left of the play the ball to get within five metres of the try line with approximately 75% of Tavake Tau’a’alo’s metres being post contact with the Wynnum Manly defensive line.

    Round One of the 2024 MM Cup competition saw Creedence Donovan start on the left wing for the Burleigh Bears against the Souths Logan Magpies with Creedence Donovan scoring in the 19th minute with a diving effort to get the ball down in the right corner airborne on his right hand after an eight metre run down the right touchline after receiving a pass from his inside from Sunny Kama.

    Earlier in the 5th minute Creedence Donovan had made a good kick-off return to get the ball out to the thirty metre mark. Then in the 44th minute Creedence Donovan ran to his right out of dummy half through the centre of the field from just four metres out from his own try line and Creedence Donovan was able to get the ball out to near the twenty metre mark.

    Round One of the 2024 U17 Cyril Connell Cup season saw Callum Dalton start on the left wing for the Tweed Heads Seagulls against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls with Callum Dalton taking the Wynnum Manly kick-off on the full and returning the ball out to the twenty three metre mark.

    Callum Dalton also made a solid kick return in the 47th minute when after taking a Wynnum Manly clearing kick on the full after almost colliding with his fullback Callum Dalton was able to return the ball from twenty eight metres out from his own try line to the halfway mark.

    Round One of the 2024 MM Cup competition saw Brady Turner start in the front row for the Burleigh Bears against the Souths Logan Magpies with Brady Turner making a line break in the 11th minute when after running onto a good short ball from his right from Cooper Bai, Bready Turner as able to break through the Magpies defensive line thirty metres out and rumble downfield to within ten metres of the try line before getting a right arm off-load away to his left with Brady Turner’s back to the try line.

    In the 18th minute after running onto the ball to the left of the play of the ball from five metres inside Souths Logan territory Brady Turner was able get to within thirty metres of the try line. Then in the 23rd minute after running onto the ball to the left of the dummy half Brady Turner did well to get the ball from thirty eight metres from his own try line to six metres inside Souths Logan territory with 80% of the metres gained being post contact. Also in the 68th minute from two passes to the right of the dummy half Brady Turner made twelve metres to get the ball to within twenty metres of the try line.

    Brady Turner executed a great defensive hit in the 13th on the Magpies No. 13 with Brady Turner dumping the lock on his back in the centre of the field and thirty eight metres out. Brady Turner also did well defensively in the 68th minute when he along with Tama Darlington and Sunny Kama tackled and held the Souths Logan left centre up and force him four metres back into the Magpies in-goal area.

    2023 Waitako New Zealand U18 representative Tama Darlington was named at halfback for the Burleigh Bears in Round One of the 2023 U19 Mal Meninga (MM) Cup against the Souths Logan Magpies with Tama Darlington converting Jett Bryce’s 13th minute try from four metres to the left of the goal posts.

    Tama Darlington did well defensively in the 68th minute when he along with Sunny Kama and Brady Turner tackled and held the Souths Logan left centre up and force him four metres back into the Magpies in-goal area. Tama Darlington then did even better defensively when along with Sunny Kama he held up the Souths Logna left second rower (No. 11) over the try line midway between the goal posts and corner post on the right side of the field.

    Round One of the 2024 MM Cup competition saw Bailey McConnell start at five eight for the Burleigh Bears against the Souths Logan Magpies with Bailey McConnell recording a try assist in the 13th minute when after taking possession of the ball to the left of the dummy half forty metres out from the try line, Bailey McConnell ran at the defensive line and after dummying to his left Bailey McConnell split the defensive line and when seventeen metres from the try line Bailey McConnell drew the Magpies fullback and passed to his left for Jett Bryce to score.

    Bailey McConnell almost had a second try assist in the 62nd minute when after receiving the ball ten metres out from the try line and to the left of the play the ball, Bailey McConnell continued to his left before throwing a short pass to his left to Jett Bryce who went straight through a gap to get the ball down wide out on the left only for the referee to bizarrely rule Bailey McConnell’s pass forward.

    Round One of the 2024 MM Cup competition saw Lachlan Offley start at right centre for the Souths Logan Magpies against the Burleigh Bears with Lachlan Offley scoring the match sealing try in the 67th minute with Lachlan Offley diving over in the right corner after three metre burst down the touchline.

    Lachlan Offley looked to have scored earlier in the match in the 34th minute when he got the ball down in the right corner but the referee ruled that the pass from Lachlan Offley from his left ten metres out went forward.

    Earlier in the 24th minute Lachlan Offley moved onto dummy half with Souths Logan trapped on their own try line in the right corner and after running out of dummy half to his left Lachlan Offley was able to run the ball from two metres out from his own try line to twenty two metres out.

    Round One of the 2024 MM Cup competition saw Isaac Harrison start at lock for the Tweed Heads Seagulls against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls and in the 58th minute Isaac Harrison ran an underneath route to the right of the play the ball with Isaac Harrison running the ball through the centre of the field from twenty two metres to within ten metres of the try line.

    The 62nd minute then saw Isaac Harrison, from two passes to the right of the play the ball ran the ball through the centre of the field once again to get the ball from forty three metres from the try line to thirty metres out.
