    Round One of the 2024 U18 Laurie Daley Cup competition saw Aaron Singh-Goesel named at left second row for the Northern Rivers Titans against the Newcastle Knights with Aaron Singh-Goesel picking up a dropped Newcastle pass and consequently run the ball from seventeen metres out from his own try line to thirty metres out. Then in the 15th minute Aaron Singh-Goesel made a strong run down the left channel from thirty two metres from his own try line to within five metres of the halfway mark.

    Round One of the 2024 U18 Laurie Daley Cup competition saw Riley Buchanan named in the front row and captain for the Northern Rivers Titans against the Newcastle Knights with the first of a number of strong runs from Riley Buchanan coming in the 11th minute with a run from the left of the dummy half that saw Riley Buchanan carry the ball from twenty two metres from the try line to within ten metres.

    The 19th minute then saw Riley Buchanan charge onto the ball to the left of the play the ball and bump off one defender as Riley Buchanan promoted the ball from forty metres from the try line to twenty eight metres out. Then in the 49th minute from the right of the play the ball Riley Buchanan was able to get the ball from the forty metre mark to the halfway then two tackles later Riley Buchanan made another twelve metres before playing the ball fourteen metres out from the try line.

    Riley Buchanan then made a good kick-off return to get the ball out to the twenty eight metre mark, breaking a tackle along the way. Then to round out a strong captain’s performance Riley Buchanan carried the ball from eighteen metres out to thirty metres out after running onto the ball to the right of the dummy half.

    In late 2023 Leison Malu was named in the Coomera Chiefs 2024 U14 Boys Oztag team for the 2024 Queensland State Oztag Championships with Leison Malu named as the U14 Championships Most Valuable Player.

    Round One of the 2024 U16 Andrew Johns Cup competition saw Trei Heterick named on the bench for the Northern Rivers Titans against the Newcastle Knights with Trei Hererick coming onto the field to operate in the dummy half role.

    After coming onto the field Trei Heterick took the Northern Rivers kick-off’s including a good left foot kick-off in the 34th minute that saw the ball sail over the head of the Knights player to bounce over the dead ball line to force a Newcastle goal line drop-out. Trei Heterick did it again in the 44th minute when he left foot kick-off bounced over the touchline two metres from the left corner post.

    Trei Heterick also started from the bench in Round Two against the Central Coast Roosters with Trei Heterick coming off the bench to operate at dummy half in the 23rd minute and in the 27th minute Trei Heterick ran out of dummy half to his left from close range and seemingly get the ball down under the posts but strangely the referee ruled that Trei Heterick was held.

    Trei Heterick also ran out of dummy half to his left on a yardage carry to run the ball from eight metres out from his own try line to twenty two metres out.

    Round Two of the 2024 Andrew Johns Cup competition saw Malachy Laarhaven start from tehe bench for the Northern Rivers Titans against the Central Coast Roosters with Malachy Laarhaven coming onto the field to operate at left second row in the 19th minute.

    Almost immediately after coming onto the field Malachy Laarhaven made his first run of the match when from the right of the play the ball Malachy Laarhaven was able to get the ball five metres into Central Coast territory. Then in the 27th minute from the right of the play the ball Malachy Laarhaven broke a tackle as he carried the ball from fifteen metres out from the try line to less than a metre out through the centre of the field with approximately 75% of Malachy Laarhaven’s metres being post contact with the Roosters defensive line.

    The 30th minute saw Malachy Laarhaven charge onto the ball to the right of the play the ball to get the ball from seven metres inside his own territory to five metres inside Central Coast territory. Malachy Laarhaven made an additional strong carry in the 36th minute from two passes to the left of the dummy half to get the ball to the halfway mark after taking possession of the ball eleven metres inside his own territory.

    Malachy Laarhaven also did well in the 40th minute when after running onto the ball to the right of the play the ball on his own twenty metre mark Malachy Laarhaven was able to make ten metres to the thirty metre mark before getting an off-load away “out the back” to hooker Rory McInnes who stepped off his right foot on two occasions to get the ball to the halfway mark.

    Malachy Laarhaven showcased his defensive ability in the 49th minute when along with Noah Reti, Malachy Laarhaven hit and drove the Central Coast No. 18 three metres backwards through the centre of the field before dumping him on his back eight metres from his own try line.

    Round One of the 2024 U16 Andrew Johns Cup competition saw Bailey Lebrese named at left centre for the Northern Rivers Titans against the Newcastle Knights.

    Bailey Lebrese also started at left centre in Round Two against the Central Coast Roosters with Bailey Lebrese making a strong run down the left channel to make fifteen metres to get the ball twenty seven metres from the try line.

    Tye Hogan-Collins also started on the right wing in Round Two of the 2024 Laurie Daley Cup for the Northern Rivers Titans against the Central Coast Roosters with Tye Hogan-Collins scoring in the 56th minute when after backing up a long line break by Noah Reti from deep inside Northern Rivers territory Tye Hogan-Collins received the ball from his second rower after he had drawn the Roosters fullback to run nineteen metres with Tye Hogan-Collins then able to bring the ball around to put it down seven metres to the right of the goal posts.

    Aiden Gersh also started in the front row in Round Two against the Central Coast Roosters with Aiden Gersh scoring in the 56th minute when after running onto a great short ball from his right from Billy Mulheron, Aiden Gersh charged twelve metres and carried the Central Coast fullback over the try line with him to get the ball down three metres to the left of the goal posts.

    A minute earlier in the 55th minute Aiden Gersh charged onto the ball to the left of the dummy half to carry the ball from his own twenty three metre mark out to the thirty seven metre mark.

    Rory McInnes also started at hooker in Round Two for the Northern Rivers Titans of the Laurie Daley Cup against the Central Coast Roosters with Rory McInnes running to his right out of dummy half in the 32nd minute to get the ball from seven metres inside his own territory to ten metres into Central Coast territory.

    Rory McInnes also did well in the 40th minute when after receiving an off-load from Malachy Laarhaven thirty metres out form his own try line, Rory McInnes darted through the centre of the field and stepped twice off his right foot to get the ball to the halfway mark.

    Round One of the 2024 U16 Andrew Johns Cup competition saw Noah Reti named on the bench for the Northern Rivers Titans against the Newcastle Knights and after coming onto the field to operate at right second row in the 42nd minute Noah Reti almost immediately ran onto the ball to the right of the play the ball with Noah Reti getting to within two metres of the try line and directly in front of the goal posts.

    Noah Reti then moved into the starting line-up at right second row in Round Two against the Central Coast Roosters with Noah Reti celebrating his elevation to the Northern Rivers starting side by recording a try assist in the 52nd minute when after charging into the ball two passes to the right of the play the ball, Noah Reti burst through two tackles thirty six metres from his own try line to make a long line break. When he was around twenty metres from the try line Noah Reti drew the Central Coast fullback and passed to his right to Tye Hogan-Collins who had an easy run to the try line and in fact was able to bring the ball around and put it down seven metres to the right of the goal posts.

    Earlier in the 35th minute from two passes to the left of the play the ball Noah Reti ran the ball out from his own sixteen metre mark to the twenty eight metre mark.

    Noah Reti showcased his defensive ability in the 49th minute when along with Malachy Laarhaven, Noah Reti hit and drove the Central Coast No. 18 three metres backwards through the centre of the field before dumping him on his back eight metres out from his own try line.

    Ethan Alcorn also started at halfback for the Northern Rivers Titans in Round Two of the 2024 U18 Laurie Daley Cup against the Central Coast Roosters with Ethan Alcorn recording a try assist in the 37th minute when after feeding the Titans scrum eighteen metres out and in the centre of the field Ethan Alcorn ran to his right and after receiving the ball to the right of the scrum and around twenty three metres from the try line Ethan Alcorn held the ball fractionally before throwing a long high cut-out pass to his right to Ryder Nelson who burst between two defenders to dive over to score ten metres in from the right corner post.

    In fact Ethan Alcorn was the reason that Northern Rivers had the scrum feed when in the 36th minute from the right of the play the ball and five metres inside his own territory Ethan Alcorn drove a hard flat right foot kick into Central Coast territory with the Roosters left winger knocking the ball on as he attempted to retrieve the kick eighteen metres out from the try line to give Northern Rivers the scrum feed.

    Ryder Nelson started at fullback for the Northern Rivers Titans in Round Two of the U16 Andrew Johns Cup against the Central Coast Roosters with Ryder Nelson scoring for the second match in a row in the 37th minute when from the right of a Northern Rives scrum win in the centre of the field and eighteen metres from the try line, Ryder Nelson received a high cut out pass from his left for Ethan Alcorn and burst between defenders to race away to dive over to score ten metres in from the right corner post.

    In the 30th minute from two passes to the left of a Northern Rivers scrum win thirty seven metres from his own try line Ryder Nelson was initially hit on the forty metre mark but Ryder Nelson was still able to force his way to the halfway mark before he was finally stopped.

    Ryder Nelson made a number of strong kick returns against Central Coast with the first coming in the 13th minute with a kick return through the centre of the field with Ryder Nelson carrying the ball from six metres out from his own try line to twenty two metres out. Then in the 13th minute Ryder Nelson took a Roosters clearing kick on the full in front of his posts seven metres out and ran the ball back through the centre of the field to twenty two metres out.

    Ryder Nelson also made one of the tackles of the match with a try saving effort in the 49th minute when he ran to his left and hit the Central Coast left second rower (No. 11) to force the ball loose just as the Roosters player was attempting to ground the ball two metres in from the left corner post.

    Billy Mulheron started in the front row for the Northern Rivers Titans in Round Two of the U16 Andrew Johns Cup against the Central Coast Roosters with Billy Mulheron scoring in the 45th minute from a Northern Rivers Titans penalty in the centre of the field and ten metres out. Billy Mulheron took the responsibility of taking the tap himself and after taking the tap, Billy Mulheron ran to his right and after dummying to his left before steeping off his right foot and bursting through four attempted tackles to crash over to score seven metres to the right of the goal posts.

    Billy Mulheron also recorded a try assist in the 56th minute when after running onto the ball to the left of the dummy half, Billy Mulheron ran from eighteen metres from the try line to twelve metres out before popping a smart short ball to his left to his front row partner Aiden Gersh who burst through a gap to crash over to score three metres to the left of the goal posts.

    Billy Mulheron had earlier recorded a line break assist in the 33rd minute when from thirty metres from the try line and to the right of the play the ball Billy Mulheron ran the ball to the defensive line before throwing a good short ball to his right to Klay Jones. Billy Mulheron continued to back up and got a pass back from his lock around ten metres out and it appeared that Billy Mulheron had done more than enough to get the ball down under the posts but the final pass was strangely ruled forward and the try was disallowed.

    The first of Billy Mulheron’s strong charges in the match came in the 19th minute from two passes to the right of a Northern Rivers penalty restart, Billy Mulheron was able to promote the ball from thirty two metres out from his own try line to within five metres of the halfway mark.

    In the 40th minute Billy Mulheron produced a strong kick-off return to get the ball out to the twenty three metre mark. Then in the 48th minute from the right of the play the ball Billy Mulheron produced a yardage carry that saw him run the ball from thirty one metres out from the try line to within six metres of the halfway mark.

    Billy Mulheron made his presence felt in the 45th minute with a big tackle from a kick off on one of the replacement Central Coast front rowers to force a knock on and put Northern Rivers immediately onto the attack.

    Then in the 15th minute from the left of the play the ball Riley Buchanan received a short ball from his right from Robert Smith and as a result carried the ball from forty three metres from the try line to the thirty metre mark. The 61st minute then saw Riley Buchanan make a good kick-off return to get the ball out to the twenty four metre mark.

    Riley Buchanan made his presence felt in defence in the 18th minute when he crunched the Central Coast halfback who had juggled that pass with Riley Buchanan nearly cutting him in half was a great right shoulder tackle thirty metres out and in the centre of the field.

    Aaron Singh-Goesel made a further strong run to the left of the play the ball in the 17th minute from his own twenty four metre mark to forty two metres out with approximately 75% of Aaron Singh-Goesel’s metres gained being post contact with the Roosters defensive line. Then in the 22nd minute from two passes to the left of the dummy half Aaron Singh-Goesel carried the ball from twenty three metres from his try line to thirty seven metres out.

    Aaron Singh-Goesel followed up with a run in the 29th minute that saw Aaron Singh-Goesel run an underneath route to the left of the play the ball to get the ball from the halfway mark to thirty seven metres out with approximately 75% of Aaron Singh-Goesel’s metres gained being post contact with the Roosters defensive line.

    Then in the 33rd minute from an underneath route to the left of the dummy half once again Aaron Singh-Goesel ran the ball from three metres inside Central Coast territory to within thirty two metres of the try line.

    The 56th minute then saw Aaron Singh-Goesel, from two passes to the left of a Northern Rivers scrum win, carry the ball from twenty seven metres out to over the forty metre mark with approximately 70% of Aaron Singh-Goesel’s metres gained being post contact with the Roosters defensive line. Aaron Singh-Goesel then rounded out a strong match in the 64th minute with an effort down the left channel that led to a run from six metres inside his own territory to eight metres into Roosters for Aaron Singh-Goesel.

    Aaron Singh-Goesel made a good tackle in the 23rd minute when along with Jimmy McCombie, Aaron Singh-Goesel, executed a driving tackle on the Central Coast right winger (No. 2) that forced him back from fourteen metres from his own try line to within nine metres in dominant fashion.
    Then in the 43rd minute Aaron Singh-Goesel made a desperate try saving tackle on the Central Coast halfback right of the try line to stop a try just to the left of the goal posts.
