Tweed Heads MM lead 46-0 at halftime against Wynnum Manly.
Magnificent effort by the Western Mustangs MM side to come back to beat Burleigh 39-34. Titans boys on each side scored.
Tweed Colts lost 32-24 to Wynnum with outstanding young Tweed half Kel Sheather amongst the try scorers.
Burleigh Colts too good for the Western Mustangs winning 46-0 with Titans Jaxson Paulo and Api Noema - Matenga amongst the Bears try scorers.
Congratulations to the Northern Rivers boys who have made the NSW Country side, being Josh Bevan and Simon Pratt as well as North Coast youngster Jake Saunders.
North Coast players Riley Davey and Jordan Moore have been selected in the NSW Country U18 side.
Unfortunately for Titans contracted ben Liyou and his Grafton Ghosts U18 team mates they went down to the Sawtell Panthers this afternoon 38-16 in the Group Two competition.
Not long to go until the SEQ U16 wider training squad is named. I wonder how many from the two outstanding GC teams will be named.
It has not taken outstanding young half Tahne Robinson long to find his feet at his new club the Tweed Coast Raiders. Tahne Robinson has scored in the opening two rounds of the NRRRL First Grade competition with his tries coming in Round One against Northern United who have Theo Hippi in their ranks and in Round Two against Murwillumbah who have former Titans NYC player Riley Yates and former Keebra park student Wade Riley in their side. The 18 year old is an outstanding prospect.
With the Gold Coast Junior Rugby League season nearly upon on us, it is good to see an influx in talented young players into the competition, none more so than young second row/front row Jake Kearton who has moved to the Coast to attend PBC from Mackay SHS and to play his club rugby league with the Mudgeeraba Redbacks. Jake Kearton represented Capricornia at the QSSRL U15 Championships last season and will form part of a talented PBC forward pack.
Impressive stats by Keegan Hipgrave in the Queensland Cup last weekend. 207 metre on 33 hit ups and 31 tackles.
Round Six Hastings Deering’s U20 Colts and MM Cup highlights showing Burleigh, Tweed Heads and the Western Mustangs.
