18 year old Moeaki Fotuaika has been extraordinary for the Tweed Heads Seagulls Queensland Cup side through two matches this season.

To date Moeaki Fotuaika has run for 316 metres at an average of 158 metres per match and made 57 tackles at an average of 28.5 per game at a tackling efficiency of 94% whilst playing on average 64.5 minutes per game. Moeaki Fotuaika also has made 114 of his running metres post contact, has had four off-loads and six tackle breaks and one line break.

For an 18 year his statistics are simply incredible and he currently leads the league in a number of categories and is leaving a number of more hyped teenagers (from other NRL clubs) playing in the Queensland Cup in his wake.

I thought that he may get an NRL match or two at the end of the season, that time frame and the number of matches he may get has altered significantly.

The Titans have a group of talented young forwards in the NRL but Moeaki Fotuaika may well be the best of them all once he gets there.

The scary thing is that Moeaki Fotuaika is still U20 eligible in 2019.

The Group One NSW Junior Rugby League competition starts on Saturday April 7 with a number of Titans youngsters involved in the competition including U15 Ballina Seagull Rohan Mansfield who will start his season with a home game against the Grafton Ghosts.

Rowan Mansfield is an exceptionally talented Titans contracted youngster who can pay either at fullback or centre. He actually played in the centres for a Titans U15 side against the Western Mustangs at Nerang a couple of weeks ago.

The best judge of talent on this forum said to me that day (sorry for dobbing you in HS) how well he played that day and I agree.

Another Titans contracted player who will be involved in the Group One JRL is Ethan Foster who will play for Clarence Coast in the U16.5 competition.

Titans contracted Ben Liyou is still eligible for the U16.5 competition is likely to play for the Grafton Ghosts in the Group Two U18 competition instead.

MDrew, whats your thought and prediction on the MM and 20s games this weekend in between Burleigh and Tweed?

Tweed MM look extremely strong with a number of QLD U18s, Titan and Bronco contracted players in there side in comparison to Burleigh. On paper you would think Tweed should make easy work of Burleigh?

I'm assuming 20's will be close, with a number of Titans contracted players in both sides?

In terms of MM, I agree from "name" perspective Tweed are in front but Burleigh have been solid in their two matches so far. I do think that Tweed are favoured though but I do think that it will be close.

In terms of Colts, I think that it is the opposite. Burleigh have won both of their matches but have not played anywhere near as well as they can and against Norths Tweed played quite well in Round One. I think that Burleigh win on the back of a great forward pack, two centres in outstanding form and five eight Taine Tuaupiki who has simply been outstanding this year

Northern Rivers Andrew Johns U16's won 18-16 with a penalty goal from right in front of the posts after the siren. Titans contracted Ethan Foster outstanding once again, scored a powerful try to tie the scores at 16 all, when he picked up the ball from the back of the scrum and dragged three Northern Tigers over the line.

In the U18 Laurie Daley Cup, Northern Rivers were unlucky to lose 22-18, centre James Torrens and five eight Matthew Buttenshaw very good. Jordan Tauar'ii pulled off an incredible try saving tackle when he grabbed an opponent by the collar when he had already dived for the line and just dragged him back while the attacker was in mid-air, incredible

    Vikings U16s
    GC White 20 Ipswich 18
GC Yellow 16 Bris Red 14
Bris Blue 12 Bris Grey 10

I only saw the first game and a half but for mine the big surprise is that Brisbane Blue beat Grey.
GC Yellow went through as the only team undefeated .
Congrats to all boys involved, apparently the SEQ squads should be named this week.
