    Titans contracted Ryan Johnson will start from the bench tomorrow for Padua College in Round Two of the School Boy AIC First XIII competition against Marist College Ashgrove.

    Titans contracted Kalani Patu started at left second row for Keebra Park SHS in the Round Six Walters Cup Gold Coast School Boy derby against PBC SHS and inside the opening minute of the match from a Keebra Park SHS penalty tap restart Kalani Patu got the ball from ten metres inside his own territory to three metres into PBC SHS territory. The 16th minute then saw Kalani Patu, from the left of the play the ball get the ball from six metres inside his own territory to seven metres inside PBC SHS territory.

    Kalani Patu made a good defensive read in the 12th minute to come out of the defensive line and crunched the PBC SHS halfback as he was looking to ball play twenty metres out from the try line.

    Titans contracted and Keebra Park SHS’s Gazniah To’omaga started at five eight in the Round Six Walters Cup Gold Coast School Boy derby against PBC SHS with Gazniah To’omaga kicking a 40/20 in the 19th minute from thirty nine metres out from the try line with the ball bouncing over the left touchline seventeen metres out. Keebra Park SHS scored from the subsequent set of six tackles through Tomasi Vaitai o the right side of the field.

    Gazniah To’omaga came close to setting up a try for Jai Billish in the 50th minute when after receiving the ball two passes to the left of the play the ball, Gazniah To’omaga, from eighteen metres out stepped off his left foot after dummying to his left and after stepping off his left foot on a second occasion Gazniah To’omaga got a left arm off-load away to his tight to Jai Billish when four metres out and in front of the posts but Gazniah To’omaga’s pass to Jai Billish was ruled forward.

    Gazniah To’omaga came close to scoring in the 13th minute when after Gazniah To’omaga charged down a PBC SHS clearing kick and looked to take possession of the ball twenty metres from the try line but the shocking bounces of a rugby league ball meant that Gazniah To’omaga could not take possession of the ball cleanly.

    Gazniah To’omaga also did well in the 33rd minute with a stepping run off his right foot from twelve metres out and get to within two metres of the try line and directly in front of the goal posts.

    Titans contracted Nelson Makaafi started at right second row for PBC SHS in the Round Seven Walters Cup Gold Coast School Boy derby against Keebra Park SHS with Nelson Makaafi coming close to scoring in the 36th minute from a PBC SHS penalty tap restart with Nelson Makaafi being held up over the try line eight metres in from the right corner post after a thirteen metre charge.

    Nelson Makaafi ran onto the ball strongly to the right of the play the ball in the 11th minute from twenty two metres out from the try line. After cutting back to his left to target the area behind the play the ball Nelson Makaafi surged to within two metres of the try line mid-way between the goal posts and corner post in the right side of the field.

    The 13th minute then saw Nelson Makaafi charge onto the ball to the left of the play the ball, beating three defenders as Nelson Makaafi cut inside from twenty four metres out from his own try line and get the ball to within four metres of the halfway mark.

    Then in the 25th minute from two passes to the left of the play the ball Nelson Makaafi carried the ball from twenty eight metres out from the try line to three metres of the halfway mark with Nelson Makaafi then awarded a penalty for being held down too long before being allowed to his feet to play the ball.

    Nelson Makaafi rounded out a strong match in the 53rd minute with a good run from a PBC SHS penalty tap restart from forty two metres from the try line to twenty eight metres out.

    On Tuesday Marymount College plays St Marys College Toowoomba with the winner to join the Langer Cup Quarter Final's.

    The Titans will have three players involved, Cooper Bai and OScar Laffranchi for Marymount and Bodhi Sharpley for St Marys,

    Titan Jeriah Vagana-Malaitai started at fullback last night for Redbank Plains Red and scored a try and kicked two conversions in the Ipswich RL U18 competition against Norths Tigers Gold.

    Titans contracted Jai Billish started at halfback for Keebra Park SHS in the Round Six Gold Coast School Boy Walters Cup derby against PBC SHS with Jai Billish recording a try assist in the 20th minute when after ball playing to the right of the play the ball, Jai Billish threw a good short ball to his right to put his right second rower Tomasi Vaitai into a gap from twelve metres out to score ten metres to the right of the uprights.

    Jai Billish came close to scoring himself in the 50th minute when after good work from Gazniah To’omaga, Jai Billish received an off-load from his lock forward and dive over under the posts from four metres out but the referee ruled that the final pass to Jai Billish travelled forward.

    Jai Billish also recorded a line break in the 1st minute when Jia Billish ran onto a good short ball from his right from his lock with Jai Billish breaking the PBC SHS defensive line thirty metres out but after getting to ten metres out, Jai Billish’s inside pass after he had drawn the fullback went to ground.

    Jai Billish also ran the ball in the 27th minute when from the left of the play the ball Jai Billish initially shaped to kick downfield but ran the ball himself instead from five metres inside his own territory and after stepping his way to twelve metres inside PBC SHS territory Jai Billish got a right arm flick off-load away to Kalani Patu on the last tackle.

    Jai Billish put in a short right foot grubber towards the in-goal in the 49th minute from the right of the play the ball with the ball lost forward by PBC SHS just out from the try line with Keebra Park SHS then awarded a penalty when a PBC SHS played dived on the ball from an offside position.

    Jai Billish also did well defensively in the 57th minute when along with David Bryenton, Jai Billish was able to hold up one of the PBC SHS front rowers being No. 10 next to the right upright.

    On Wednesday night Cai Garrett started at inside centre and scored a hat trick for Woollongbar Alstonville in their Far North Coast U15 rugby match against Evans Head.

    He also started at inside centre last night in a low scoring victory against Lismore City.

    In late July 2023 Philip Hakaraia-Ngamotu started from the bench for a Titans U19 side that travelled to Townsville to play a Cowboys U19 side in an NRL curtain-raiser with Philip Hakaraia-Ngamotu coming onto the field in the second half to player in the right second row position.

    Philip Hakaraia-Ngamotu initial effort running the ball came almost immediately after coming onto to make twelve metres from a Titans penalty tap restart.

    The 56th minute saw Philip Hakaraia-Ngamotu along with Javon Andrews execute a strong front on tackle on the Titans try line to prevent a North Queensland try eight metres in from the right corner post.

    Seth Nikotemo will start at right second row today for the Burleigh Bears in their Round 13 GCRL First Grade match against Helensvale.

    EJ Finau will start from the bench for Burleigh and Immanuel Kalekale in the second row for Helensvale.

    Jury Taewa came off the bench for Marsden SHS in the Round Six Logan Langer Cup derby against Mabel Park SHS with Jury Taewa coming onto the field in the 18th minute to play in the front row with Jury Taewa almost immediately making his first run from a goal line drop-out return to bring the ball back to within twenty six metres of the try line in the centre of the field.

    The 23rd minute then saw Jury Taewa take another hit from two passes to the right of the dummy half making twelve metres to get the ball to within eleven metres of the try line directly in front of the posts.

    Unfortunately Jury Taewa’s match was cut short just before halftime when after a huge collision between Alex Leapai and Jury Taewa both player were taken to hospital and the match abandoned. Fortunately both players subsequently received the all clear.

    PBC SHS’s Hai Hiawe King was named on the bench in the Langer Cup Round Six Gold Coast derby against Keebra Park SHS however a late change saw Hai Hiawe King start the match in the front row with Hai Hiawe King running onto the ball to the left of the play the ball in the 5th minute making twelve metres to get the ball within ten metres of the try line.

    Hai Hiawe King followed up with a run of fifteen metres to within ten metres of the halfway mark from the left of the dummy half. Hai Hiawe King then made twelve metres from a PBC SHS penalty restart to get within thirteen metres of the try line and a tackle later Hai Hiawe King made another run from the left of the play the ball from seven metres out to get within centremetres of the try line mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the right side of the field.

    The 48th minute saw Hai Hiawe King take a hit-up from the left of the play the ball from thirty nine metres out from his own try line to get to the halfway mark.

    In the 4th minute Hai Hiawe King made heavy defensive contact on the Keebra Park SHS lock front on to rock him back forty metres out and in the centre of the field.
