    Round Seven of the U18 NRRRL competition against the Lower Clarence Magpies saw Titans contracted Jimmy McCombie don the No. 12 jersey for the Byron Bay Devils with Jimmy McCombie all over the field in a good Devils victory including a line break in just the 3rd minute of the match when from six metres inside his own territory Jimmy McCombie took possession of the ball to the right of a Byron Bay penalty tap restart with Jimmy McCombie executing a stutter step near the halfway mark to break through the Lower Clarence defensive line with Jimmy McCombie stepping off his right foot to beat the fullback and then getting to within twenty metres of the try line before getting a right arm of-load away to his left.

    Jimmy McCombie made a second line break in the 52nd minute when from twenty metres from his own try line and after receiving an off-load from his right, Jimmy McCombie ran to his left and after using his speed to get between two defenders, Jimmy McCombie ran to ten metres inside Lower Clarence territory before getting an off-load back inside to prevent Jimmy McCombie from being dragged over the left touchline.

    The 17th minute saw Jimmy McCombie make a further good run from another Byron Bay penalty tap restart with Jimmy McCombie carrying the ball from eight metres inside Lower Clarence territory to within twenty three metres of the try line.

    Tuvalli Khan-Pereira continued off the bench for the Burleigh Bears in Round Eight of the GCRL First Grade competition against the Helensvale Hornets with Tuvalli Khan-Pereira scoring in the xx minute after coming onto the field at halftime to operate at left centre in the second half.

    As noted above Tuvalli Khan-Pereira scored in the 62nd minute when after receiving a cut-out pass from his inside when in space fourteen metres from the try line Tuvalli Khan-Pereira got to within five metres of the try line before stepping off his left foot to beat the Hornets fullback with Tuvalli Khan-Pereira then able to bring the ball around to score six metres to the left of the uprights.

    Tuvalli Khan-Pereira also recorded a line break assist in the 58th minute when to the left of the play the ball Tuvalli Khan-Pereira ran to his left for twelve metres and after getting into Helensvale territory and drawing the Hornets right winger Tuvalli Khan-Pereira got an off-load away to his left with his left winger racing down the left touchline before drawing the fullback to put his own fullback over to score.

    Titans contracted Philip Hakaraia-Ngamotu started at left second row for the Burleigh Bears in Round Eight of the GCRL U18 Division One competition against the Helensvale Hornets with Philip Hakaraia-Ngamotu recording a try assist in the 20th minute when from forty two metres from the try line and two passes to the left of the uprights, Philip Hakaraia-Ngamotu engaged the defensive line before getting a right arm around the corner off-load away to his left for his left centre to race down the left touch line and score in the corner.

    Earlier in the 8th minute Philip Hakaraia-Ngamotu made fifteen metres after receiving an off-load five metres inside Hornets territory. Then in the 53rd minute ran the ball down the left channel from eighteen metres out from his own try line to thirty two metres out.

    Kedan Chan-Tung moved to five eight in Round Eight of the GCRL First Grade competition for the Burleigh Bears against the Helensvale Hornets with Kedan Chan-Tung scoring in the 5th minute when after receiving the ball to the right of the play the ball and twenty metres out, Kedan Chan-Tung looked up and after seeing space in front of him, Kedan Chan-Tung accelerated into the space with Kedan Chan-Tung then veering to his right to round the Hornets fullback to score ten metres to the right of the uprights.

    In the 39th minute to the right of the play the ball Kedan Chan-Tung was hit hard on the halfway mark almost as soon as he took possession of the ball but Kedan Chan-Tung was able to bounce off the defender and after circling back towards the centre of the field, Kedan Chan-Tung was able to make fifteen metres as he broke three tackles over the course of the journey.

    Bailey McConnell started at halfback for the Burleigh Bears in Round Eight of the GCRL U18 Division One competition against the Helensvale Hornets with Bailey McConnell scoring a double in a Bears victory.

    Bailey McConnell scored the first of his two tries in the 10th minute when from twelve metres out from the try line and to the left of the play the ball, Bailey McConnell continued to run to his left and after dummying in the same direction Bailey McConnell darted between two defenders before stepping off his left foot to wrong foot the Helensvale fullback and bring the ball around to score under the posts.

    Bailey McConnell completed his double in the 28th minute when to the left of the play the ball and twelve metres out from the try line, Bailey McConnell initially shaped to pass to his left before slicing between two defenders. Bailey McConnell was then caught from behind by the back of his jersey around five metres out with Bailey McConnell then carrying the defender towards the try line with Bailey McConnell then reaching out to get the ball over the try line mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field.

    Bailey McConnell also did well in the 49th minute when after receiving an off-load ten metres inside his own territory with Bailey McConnell making twenty metres to ten metres inside Helensvale territory before getting a right arm off-load away to his left to Philip Hakaraia-Ngamotu.

    Bailey McConnell did well in the 24th minute when whilst defending on his own try line to the left of the uprights Bailey McConnell took a hard kick straight at him with the kicker four metres away on the full with Bailey McConnell then able to get the ball to ten metres away from his own try line.

    Damon Somerville continued at left centre for the Burleigh Bears in Round Eight of the GCRL First Grade competition against the Helensvale Hornets with Damon Somerville scoring in the 36th minute with the try being one of the easier ones that Damon Somerville will ever score. Burleigh put up a bomb to the left corner and after the ball was dropped by the Hornets left winger the ball was gently rolling in the in-goal with Damon Somerville having a casual jog/walk over to the ball and place both hands on the ball near the left corner.

    Damon Somerville also recorded a try assist in the 12th minute when after receiving the ball around four metres out and five metres in from the left touchline, Damon Somerville spun clockwise before getting an off-load away to his left wing who had an uninterrupted run to put the ball down near the left corner post.

    Damon Somerville made multiple line breaks against the Hornets with the first coming in the 17th minute when from thirty metres from the try line Damon Somerville burst down the left channel after receiving the ball from his inside to get the ball to within four metres of the try line and near the left touchline.

    Damon Somerville added a second line break in the 20th minute from the left of the play the ball and thirty metres out from his own try line with Damon Somerville running over the top of one defender and then after charging over the halfway mark Damon Somerville was ankle tapped from behind but was able to get to his feet to get the ball a total of ten metres inside Helensvale territory.

    Titans contracted Cooper Bai started at right second row and scored for Marymount College in Round Two of the School Boy Confraternity Shield yesterday with Cooper Bai also named Marymount College's Player of the Match.

    Round Eight of the Gold Coast Rugby League U18 Division One competition saw Titans contracted Cooper Bai start at right second row for the Burleigh Bears against the Helensvale Hornets with Cooper Bai, in the 26th minute, running onto the ball to the left of the play the ball from ten metres inside his own territory to get the ball eight metres inside Helensvale territory.

    Then in the 56th minute once again from the left of the play the ball Cooper Bai received the ball on the halfway mark and was able to make thirteen metres downfield with Cooper Bai then awarded a penalty after being hit high.

    Titans contracted Zac Kumbamong started at right second row for the Helensvale Hornets in Round Eight of the GCRL U18 Division One competition against the Burleigh Bears with Zac Kumbamong making his first strong run of the match inside the opening minute when from a Helensvale penalty tap restart Zac Kumbamong carried the ball from three metres inside his own territory to ten metres into Burleigh territory.

    Then in the 14th minute from the left of the play the ball Zac Kumbamong was able to promote the ball from ten metres inside Burleigh territory to twenty six metres from the try line. Zac Kumbamong then made a further strong run in the 19th minute from twenty two metres from his own try line to thirty five metres out after running onto the ball to the left of the play the ball.

    The 23rd minute then saw Zac Kumbamong get within six metres of the try line after running onto the ball to the left of the play the ball to the left of the play the ball from twenty seven metres out with at least 65% of the metres that Zac Kumbamong made being post contact with the Hornets defensive line.

    Zac Kumbamong continued his strong match in the 33rd minute when from two passes to the right of a Hornets scrum win twenty eight metres from the try line Zac Kumbamong was able to get the ball to within fifteen metres of the try line.

    Zac Kumbamong highlighted that he is prepared to be all of the little things foe his team in the 42nd minute when he chased through a kick from inside Helensvale territory and after the Bears fullback let the ball bounce, Zac Kumbamong jumped above multiple players from both teams to retrieve the ball around twenty metres from the try line.

    Zac Kumbamong also made the tackle of the match in the 57th minute when he smashed the Bears halfback in a huge tackle eight metres from the Helensvale try line and directly in front of the goal posts.

    Seth Nikotemo continued at right second row for the Burleigh Bears in Round Eight of the GCRL First Grade competition against the Helensvale Hornets with Seth Nikotemo scoring in the 48th minute four metres in from the right corner post after a twelve metre charge that saw Seth Nikotemo charge onto the ball and run twelve metres including a counter clockwise spin to get the ball down still engaged with multiple Hornets defenders.

    Seth Nikotemo also recorded a try assist in the 27th minute when after the Helensvale left winger dropped a bomb to his wing, Seth Nikotemo was on hand to put up the ball four metres from the try line and four metres in from the right touchline with Seth Nikotemo immediately passing the ball to his right for the Burleigh right winger to score in the corner.

    Seth Nikotemo recorded a second try assist in the 69th minute with a great catch and pass to his right from ten metres out from the try line for the Burleigh right centre to score wide out near the right corner post.

    Then in the 71st minute ran onto the ball to the right of the play the ball from ten metres inside his own territory and was able to get the ball four metres inside Helensvale territory.

    In 2023 even though Dylan Butcher was still U16 eligible Dylan Butcher played a number of matches for the Mullumbimby Giants U18 NRRRL side including starting at left second row and putting in a good performance against the Murwillumbah Mustangs.

    2022 saw Dylan Butcher play for the Mullumbimby Giants in the Group 18 U15 competition with Dylan Butcher being named the winner of the 2022 Mullumbimby Giants U15 Group 18 Best and Fairest Award.

    The Round Ten HDC local derby against the Burleigh Bears saw Titan Blake Forder move to fullback for the Tweed Heads Seagulls with Blake Forder making a great take of a Bears chip on the full in the 13th minute just two metres from his own try line near the left upright and even against a good Bears kick chase Blake Forder was able to make four metres downfield.

    Blake Forder also did well defensively in the 19th minute with a one on one tackle in space on a charging Burleigh right winger with Blake Forder forcing a knock on ten metres out and in the centre of the field.

    Blake Forder did well running the ball in the 51st minute with an effort to the left of the Seagulls scrum win from thirty metres from his own try line to within two metres of the halfway mark after being spun around by his jersey twice.

    Kennyon Elisaia-Thomas started at five eight for the Lower Clarence Magpies in Round Eight of the U18 NRRRL competition against the Tweed Coast Raiders with Kennyon Elisaia-Thomas scoring in the 24th minute when after taking possession of the ball down a left blindside five metres inside Tweed Coast territory Kennyon Elisaia-Thomas put in a right foot chip over the defensive line with the Magpies left winger retrieving the ball on the bounce and getting a pass inside to AJ Hickling who whilst being tackled from behind got a pass away to his right to Kennyon Elisaia-Thomas who was able to bring the ball around to put it down next to the left upright.

    The 40th minute saw Kennyon Elisaia-Thomas run out of dummy half to his right from forty metres out from the try line and get to twenty eight metres out. Earlier in the 12th minute Kennyon Elisaia-Thomas ran the ball from the left of the play the ball forty metres out from his own try line and after dummying to his left, Kennyon Elisaia-Thomas stepped off his left foot before being tackled five metres inside Raiders territory.

    Leeton Smith continued at hooker for Northern United in Round Eight of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Byron Bay Devils with Leeton Smith scoring in the 8th minute with a three metre run to his left out of dummy half to crash over to get the ball down under the posts.
