    Titans contracted Max Liles started at five eight for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Five of the HDC competition against the Ipswich Jets with the first of Max Liles two tries coming in the 13th minute when after backing up a long line break through the centre of the field by Jayden Wright Max Liles received an offload from his lock and after stepping the Jets fullback with a right foot step, Max Liles had a comfortable ten metre run to put the ball down to score under the posts.
    Max Liles completed his double in the 74th minute when after receiving an off-load around twenty metres out from the try line, Max Liles went on a stepping run that saw him step off both feet on multiple occasions to score a stunning solo try four metres to the left of the uprights.
    Max Liles also forced a Clydesdales goal line drop-out in the 52nd minute when from the left of the play the ball and fourteen metres out from the try line Max Liles put in a left foot grubber kick into the in-goal with the ball having to be taken dead in-goal by the Toowoomba fullback.

    Seth Nikotemo started at right second row for Burleigh in Round Five of the HDC competition against the Toowoomba Clydesdales with Seth Nikotemo scoring once again in the 50th minute with a twelve metres straight hard charge with Seth Nikotemo crashing through three tackles to score nine metres to the right of the uprights.

    Earlier in the 41st minute from on the halfway mark, Seth Nikotemo carried the ball thirteen metres down the right channel.

    The 35th minute saw Seth Nikotemo jump high to take a short Toowoomba drop-out to Seth Nikotemo taking the ball on the right side of the field twelve metres out from the try line.

    Round One of the 2023 Walters Cup School Boy competition saw Titans contracted Gazniah To’omaga named at five eight for Keebra Park SHS against Ipswich SHS with Gazniah To’omaga recording two try assists including setting up the match winning try in the dying minutes of the match.

    Gazniah To’omaga recorded the first of his two try assists in the 28th minute when after receiving the ball thirty five metres from the try line and to the left of the play the ball Gazniah To’omaga executed a smart show and go after taking the ball deep into the defensive line with Gazniah To’omaga then drawing the Stretton State College fullback to put his interchange second rower over to score four metres to the left of the uprights.

    Gazniah To’omaga set up Keebra Park SHS’s match winning try in the 48th minute when from the left of the play the ball and just four metres from the try line, Gazniah To’omaga threw a hard flat cut-out pass to put his left winger on the outside of his opposite number to score the match winning try in the left corner.

    2023 saw Titans contracted Majah Peachey line up in the Walters Cup School Boy Rugby League competition for Mabel Park State High School with Majah Peachey starting at left second row in Round One against Redcliffe SHS with Majah Peachey being involved in the opening two tackles of the match.

    Majah Peachey was heavily involved in Mabel Park SHS’s 22nd minute try when after receiving the ball on the left side of the field around five metres from the try line, Majah Peachey engaged the defensive line and whilst pushing forward Majah Peachey was spun around so that his back was to the try line. Majah Peachey then shovelled an off-load away behind him with Mabel Park SHS scoring in the left corner as a result.

    Majah Peachey also made a long line break in the 36th minute in unique circumstances. Redcliffe SHS were attacking with the play the ball less than a metre from the try line on Mable Park SHS’s left. As the ball was being played the Redcliffe SHS dummy half was not looking at the ball and was still trying to organise who he was going to pass the ball to. Majah Peachey darted off the try line, picked up the ball and charged downfield to get within twenty metres of the try line down the opposite end of the field near the left touchline for a seventy six metre gain.

    Early in the match in the 16th minute to the right of the play the ball and ten metres inside his own territory Majah Peachey cut back to his right after receiving the ball and was able to carry the ball eight metres into Redcliffe SHS territory. Then in the 24th minute to the right of the play the ball once again Majah Peachey ran from twelve metres inside his own territory to four metres into Redcliffe SHS territory.

    The 57th minute saw Majah Peachey charge onto the ball thirty five metres from the try line and to the left of the play the ball with Majah Peachey getting to twenty metres out before a left arm fend got rid of one defender with Majah Peachey then beating three more defenders as a result of the power of his run with Majah Peachey getting inside the ten metres mark. Majah Peachey then executed an exceptionally quick play the ball with Mabel Park SHS scoring as a result to lock the scores up at 22 all.

    Titans contracted Antioch Faitala-Mariner started on the wing today for the Easts Tigers and was one of their try scorers in a big win against the Central Queensland Capra's.

    Round One of the 2023 School Boy Langer Cup competition saw Ryder Williams named at halfback for Keebra Park SHS against Ipswich SHS with Ryder Williams kicking five conversions from six attempts in a 34 – 18 Keebra Park SHS victory with Ryder Williams kicking a great conversion from three metres in from the right touchline in the 34th minute and then in the 58th minute Ryder Williams kicked a conversion from the left touchline.

    Ryder Williams also recorded a line break in the 58th minute when after the Ipswich SHS right centre lost the ball in a tackle twenty metres out from the Keebra Park SHS try line, Ryder Williams collected the ball whilst it was rolling on the ground at full speed with Ryder Williams racing thirty metres downfield to then off-load to his left as he was being tackled from before with Keebra Park SHS scoring in the left corner after a subsequent pass.

    The 32nd minute saw Ryder Williams put in a right foot bomb from the left side of the field towards the right corner with the Ipswich SHS left winger knocking the ball on ten metres out from the try line for Keebra Park SHS to regain the ball with another set of six tackles and go on the attack immediately.

    Ryder Williams put another smart kick in the 52nd minute when from twenty five metres out from the try line down a short left blindside Ryder Williams took the ball to the defensive line before putting in a chip kick over the defensive line and into the in-goal with the Ipswich SHS fullback forced to take the ball over the dead ball line with a goal line drop-out required by Ipswich SHS to restart the match.

    Ryder Williams made a good run in the 47th minute when after picking up a dropped Ipswich SHS pass thirty five metres out with Ryder Williams then running twenty metres down the left touchline.

    2023 also saw Alex Leapai line up for Mabel Park SHS in the School Boy Langer Cup competition after also playing in the Langer Cup for Mabel Park SHS in 2022 when Alex Leapai lined up in the front row in all of Mabel Park SHS’s matches with Alex Leapai starting in the front row and captain in Round One against Redcliffe SHS with Alex Leapai dominating including scoring a hat trick in a Mabel Park SHS first up victory.

    Axel Leapai scored the first of his three tries in the 27th minute with a fourteen metre straight hard run to the left of the play the ball to crash over mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field. Two tackles earlier Alex Leapai had carried the ball from thirty two metres out to fourteen metres out after taking possession of the ball to the right of the play the ball.

    Alex Leapai added a second try in the 39th minute when from twenty two metres out and to the left of the play the ball Alex Leapai ran an underneath line of hi five eight who was running to his right with Alex Leapai executing two subtle left foot steps to beat with defenders and when still five metres from the try line Alex Leapai literally ran straight over the top of a defender to crash over to score adjacent to the right upright.

    Alex Leapai completed his hat trick in the 43rd minute when with the play the ball on the left side of the field and just two metres out, the Mabel Park SHS dummy half ran to his right with Alex Leapai coming back underneath him to spear over to score between two defenders ten metres in from the left corner post.

    It was clear for Alex Leapai’s opening run of the match inside the first minute that Alex Leapai was going to dominate the match when from the left of the play the ball six metres inside Redcliffe SHS territory Alex Leapai cut back towards his right and after breaking four tackles, Alex Leapai carried the ball to within thirty metres of the try line.

    The 18th minute also saw Alex Leapai make a strong charge to the left of the play the ball with Alex Leapai running onto the ball twenty metres from the try line and after breaking three tackles Alex Leapai got within a metre of the try line and ten metres in from the left touchline with at least 60% of the metres that Alex Leapai gained being post his contact with the Redcliffe SHS defensive line.

    Then in the 52nd minute from the left of the play the ball Alex Leapai was able to carry the ball from thirty four metres from his own try line to the halfway mark, with 60% of those metres being post contact with the defensive line.

    Kai Smallwood started at fullback for the Bilambil Jets in Round Four of the NRRRL Reserve Grade competition against the Marist Rams with Kai Smallwood scoring a try and kicking three conversions in a big Jets victory.

    Kai Smallwood scored in the 35th minute when Kai Smallwood chased through a Bilambil chip kick from a scrum ten metres inside their own territory with Kai Smallwood collecting the ball on full speed on the bounce to race away to score three metres to the left of the uprights. Impressively Kai Smallwood fed the scrum from which the kick came with Kai Smallwood doing well to ensure that his was onside to chase the chip kick.

    Kai Smallwood also recorded a try assist in the 53rd minute when after a stepping run Kai Smallwood drew the Rams fullback and passed to his left to put his support runner over to score under the posts.

    Will Sheridan came off the bench for the Byron Bay Devils in Round Four of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Cudgen Hornets with Will Sheridan scoring in the 25th minute with a run out of dummy half to his left from close range with Will Sheridan twisting clockwise to get the ball down three metres to the left of the uprights.

    Will Sheridan came close to scoring a second try in the 36th minute when from twenty three metres out from the try line Will Sheridan ran to his left out of dummy half and after breaking four tackles Will Sheridan got to within less than a metre from the try line eight metres to the left of the uprights.

    A minute earlier in the 24th minute Will Sheridan made a line break from five metres inside his own territory Will Sheridan ran to his right out of dummy half with Will Sheridan then stepping off his right foot to beat one defender with a left arm fend then beating a second. Will Sheridan then pushed past two more defenders and then when he was twelve metres inside Hornets territory Will Sheridan got an off-load away to his right.

    Northern United U18 NRRRL right centre Alistar Faulkner has been one of the stand outs in the competition this season and with his size, strength and speed combination it comes as absolutely no surprise.

    Height and speed can not be taught and they are two traits that Casino Cougars U18 NRRRL centre Ryan Fahey has in abundance with Ryan Fahey already scoring in this season's NRRRL First Grade competition as well.

    In late 2022 Cooper Camby was selected in the Tweed Heads Seagulls Hastings Deering’s Colts squad after playing a number of Colts matches for the Seagulls when still U18 eligible in 2022 and Cooper Camby is also Colts eligible in 2024.

    Cooper Camby made his first appearance for the Seagulls Colts side when he started at left centre in Round Six against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls with Cooper Camby making the opening Seagulls run of the match from the left of a Seagulls scrum win with Cooper Camby carrying the ball from his own ten metre mark to over the twenty metre mark.

    Cooper Camby made a good run in the 35th minute when from twenty two metres out from the try line Cooper Camby carried the ball to within two metres of the try line and was able to get an off-load away to his left but a desperate Wynnum Manly defender was able to intercept the pass to prevent a Tweed Heads try.

    Cooper Camby made a further good run in the 60th minute from the right of the play the ball with Cooper Camby carrying the ball from three metres out from his own try line to twelve metres out against an on rushing defensive line.

    Cooper Camby played well in the Tweed Heads Seagulls opening 2023 trial against the Souths Logan Magpies. Cooper Camby then started at right centre in the Seagulls late February 2023 trial against the Burleigh Bears.
