In late September 2022 Mason Barber was named in the 2023 Tweed Heads Seagulls U18 MM Cup squad, Mason Barber is also MM Cup eligible in 2024.

In October 2021 Mason Barber was named in the powerful Burleigh Bears U16 Cyril Connell Cup squad.

Round One of the 2022 U16 Cyril Connell Cup saw Mason Barber named on an extended bench for the Burleigh Bears against the Tweed Heads Seagulls however on the morning of the match Mason Barber moved onto the bench coming on to play as a running forward late in the first half.

Mason Barber also came off the bench in Round Two against the Souths Logan Magpies, coming on in the 25th minute to operate as a running backrower. Mason Barber also came off the bench in Round Three against the Norths Devils before being named to drop back to the Bears extended bench for Round Four against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls, however in a late switch Mason Barber started the match from the bench.

Mason Barber was named at fullback for the Bears opening 2022 Cyril Connell Cup trial against local rivals the Tweed Heads Seagulls with Mason Barber making a great one on one tackle in the 12th minute on a charing Tweed Heads Seagull who had broken through the Burleigh line with only Mason Barber to beat.

In 2022 Mason Barber also played for Keebra Park SHS in the School Boy Walters Cup competition including a strong performance in Round Three against Marsden SHS after starting the match from the bench.

Against Marsden SHS Mason Barber scored the try of the match when after Keebra Park SHS spun the ball to their left from a kick-off, the Keebra Park SHS left winger raced away down the left touchline and as the Marsden SHS cover defence came across he put in a right foot chip kick back inside with Mason Barber retrieving the ball around forty metres out with Mason Barber then racing away to dive over mid-way between the corner post and goal posts on the left side of the field. Mason Barber was unlucky not to have been awarded an eight point try after one of the Marsden SHS cover defenders came in and hit Mason Barber late whilst he was still on the ground after diving over.

Interestingly Round Seven against Mabel Park SHS saw Mason Barber named to start in the front row.

At the end of year PBC SHS Sports Awards night, Keano Kini was named the the winner of the 2022 Craig Weston Award as the best rugby league player in the PBC SHS Open age group.

In late September 2022 Toran O’Donnell was named in the 2023 Tweed Heads Seagulls U18 MM Cup squad.

In late 2021 Toran O’Donnell was named in the Tweed Heads Seagulls U16 Cyril Connell Cup squad and was part of the Seagulls side that played their first trial of 2022 when he lined up at Pizzey Park against the Northern Rivers Titans U18 Laurie Daley Cup squad on the Titans “Super Saturday”.

Toran O’Donnell was initially not named in the game day seventeen for Round One of the 2022 Cyril Connell Cup against the Burleigh Bears but on the morning of the match came onto the Seagulls bench. The young forward came off the bench and into the match in the second row around the forty minute mark.

As a result of his strong performance off the bench in Round One, Toran O’Donnell moved into the starting side at right second row for Round Two against the Redcliffe Dolphins and after a Round Three bye Toran O’Donnell continued at right second row in Round Four against the Easts Tigers, however in the second half Toran O’Donnell also spent time on the left side of the field.

Toran O’Donnell moved to left second row in the final round being Round Five against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls and in the 15th minute Toran O’Donnell executed a great try saving tackle on the Wynnum Manly halfback who had split the Seagulls defensive line from around ten metres out but Toran O’Donnell willed himself to his left to make the tackle.

Latrell Lowah is one of the most naturally gifted junior rugby league players in northern NSW and he will be back at it with the Titans when the Junior Academies start back up early next month.

In late September 2022 Titus Marsden was named in the 2023 Tweed Heads Seagulls U18 MM Cup squad.

The Helensvale Hornets local Gold Coast junior had an outstanding 2021 season that culminated in the young man being named the 2021 Gold Coast Rugby League U15 Player of the Season. An impressive feat considering the exceptional strength of that competition on the Gold Coast in 2021.

In October 2021 Titus Marsden was named in the talented Tweed Heads Seagulls U16 Cyril Connell Cup squad and Titus Marsden was involved in the Seagulls first trial of 2022 when Tweed Heads took on the Northern Rivers Titans U18 Laurie Daley Cup squad at Pizzey Park.

Round One of the 2022 U16 Cyril Connell Cup saw Titus Marsden named on the bench for the Tweed Heads Seagulls against the Burleigh Bears however he was a game day scratching.

Titus Marsden was also named on the bench for Round Two against the Redcliffe Dolphins and after a Round Three bye Titus Marsden moved to the right wing for Round Four against the Easts Tigers, a match that saw Titus Marsden make a line break down the right wing in the e37th minute when he was able to make around twenty metres before being taken into touch less than ten metres from the try line.

Titus Marsden also was named to start on the right wing in Round Five against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls however in a late positional switch Titus Marsden in fact started the match at fullback and could not have been in the match any earlier when the Wynnum Manly kick-off dropped short, Titus Marsden did a great job diving forward to take the kick-off on the full.

2022 also saw Titus Marsden continue to play for the Helensvale Hornets in the Gold Coast Rugby League U16 Division One competition including wearing the No. 14 jersey as the Hornets defeated Burleigh in the 2022 Grand Final.

Titus Marsden made a strong impact when he came onto the field to operate on the right side of the field in the Hornets Grand Final victory including scoring in the 38th minute when after chasing through a kick into the in-goal Tits Marsden dived on the ball in the in-goal to core five metres in from the right corner post.

In September 2022 Titus Marsden was named in the South Queensland Maori U16 Tuakana representative squad.

A couple of Lismore Marist Brothers juniors have been selected in the 2023 Northern Rivers Titans U18 Laurie Daley Cup squad including second rower Jedd Arnett and centre Reshawn Brown.

Tweed Coast Raiders junior Luca Todd has been selected in the 2023 Northern Rivers Titans U18 Laurie Daley Cup squad after playing a number of matches off the bench for the Northern Rivers Titans U16 Andrew Johns Cup side in 2022.

Post the recent 2022 Queensland Samoa Championships, Helensvale’s Judah Marsden was named in the Queensland Samoa U14 representative side to play in the 2022 QPICC Carnival, an impressive feat for a young man still U13 eligible in 2022.
