    Earlier Titans contracted Josiah Pahulu lead Ipswich SHS to a big Quarter Final victory over Coombabah SHS.

    Titans contracted Jeremaiah Temapo with a double for Keebra Park as they beat Marymount College in their Langer Cup Quarter Final 40-6.

    Notice the trend- the best players on the field in the opening three quarter finals have been Titans.

    The three Titans partnered schools being PBC SHS, Keebra Park SHS and Marsden SHS have all made the semi-finals of the School Boy Langer Cup competition and the fourth school Ipswich SHS is captained by Titans contracted star Josiah Pahulu.

    The future is very bright indeed for the Titans.

    Brent Barnes continued on the left wing for Tweed Heads in the Round Fourteen HDC local derby against the Burleigh Bears with Brent Barnes scoring in the 76th minute when after Tweed Heads picked up a blocked Burleigh grubber kick, Brent Barnes received a right arm flick off-load and raced eighty metres to put the ball down mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the right side of the field.

    Brent Barnes also recorded a line break in the 44th minute when Brent Barnes ran the ball to the left of a Seagulls scrum win from his own ten metre line with Brent Barnes promoting the ball twenty five metres as a result of the line break.

    Brent Barnes also executed a try saving tackle in the 38th minute when he raced to his left to hit his opposite winger and forced him into touch just as he was attempting to put the ball down in the right corner.

    Cooper Camby then moved to left centre for the Cudgen Hornets in the NRRL U18 rescheduled Round Five match against the Byron Bay Devils with Cooper Camby scoring in the 45th minute when from a Cudgen scrum on the opposite side of the field Cooper Camby received the ball thirty metres out and wide out on the left with Cooper Camby using a left arm fend to beat one tackle and then run thirty metres to score in the left corner.

    Cooper Camby added a second try in the 47th minute when he chased through a Jett Forbes kick down a short left blindside with Cooper Camby taking the ball on the bounce above his head five metres out with Cooper Camby then able to bring the ball around to within five metres of the left upright.

    Cooper Camby also made a smart play in the 14th minute when he chased through a Hornets attacking grubber kick with Cooper Camby grabbing hold of the Byron Bay fullback three metres out from the line with Cooper Camby forcing him back into the in-goal area to force a goal line drop-out.

    After missing a number of rounds Titans contracted Caleb Hodges was back at left centre for Tweed Heads in the Round Fourteen HDC local derby against the Burleigh Bears with Caleb Hodges scoring in the 37th minute when he ran through to collect a Jaylan De Groot right foot grubber kick from ten metres out with Caleb Hodges scoring mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field.

    Caleb Hodges had earlier made a strong run in the 24th minute with a fifteen metre run from within his own twenty metre area to the left of a Seagulls scrum win.

    Titans contracted Ben Liyou continued in the front row for Tweed Heads in the Round Fourteen HDC local derby against the Burleigh Bears with Ben Liyou scoring in the 12th minute when he charged onto a short ball out of dummy half from Oskar Bryant with Ben Liyou crashing over to score from four metres out and five metres to the right of the uprights.

    Ben Liyou then did well in the 28th minute when after being hit heavily just after receiving the ball forty metres out from the try line, Ben Liyou was able to get away a right arm flick off-load whilst he was being lifted in the air.

    Titans contracted Tanu Nona started from the bench for the Cudgen Hornets in the rescheduled Round Five NRRRL U18 match against the Byron Bay Devils with Tanu Nona scoring in the 38th minute when after receiving an inside pass from his left from Harvey Moase when thirty seven metres out, Tanu Nona broke an attempted arm tackle before dummying to his left to initially wrong foot the Devils fullback and then near the try line when the fullback came across, Tanu Nona got rid of him with a left arm fend and then Tanu Nona brought the ball around to put the ball down under the posts.

    Oskar Bryant continued at hooker in the Round Fourteen of the Hastings Deering’s Colts competition for Tweed Heads in the local derby against the Burleigh Bears with Oskar Bryant recording a try assist in the 13th minute when he skipped out of dummy half to his right from within two metres of the try line with Oskar Bryant then trying a good short ball to his right to Ben Liyou who barged over to score five metres to the right of the uprights.

    Oskar Bryant’s initial smart run out of dummy half in the 13th minute when Oskar Bryant ran to his left out of dummy half with Oskar Bryant making a twenty five metre line break before being tackled thirty metres out from the try line.

    Oskar Bryant then made a further smart run of dummy half in the 37th minute when after receiving an off-load from Brent Barnes, Oskar Bryant made a fifteen metre burst through the centre of the field to get the ball forty metres out from his own try line.

    Oskar Bryant made another line break in the 38th minute when he scooped out the ball with his right hand from dummy half with Oskar Bryant running to his left from forty metres out with Oskar Bryant getting within three metres of the try line but unfortunately Oskar Bryant was injured in the tackle and was not able to take any further action in the match.

    Titans contracted Vaka Sikahele started at hooker for the Burleigh Bears in Round Fourteen Colts local derby against the Tweed Heads Seagulls with Vaka Sikahele scoring a double in a tough six point loss.

    Vaka Sikahele scored the first of his two tries in the 16th minute when after receiving an off-load five metres out, Vaka Sikahele darted to his right and after initially being held up, Vaka Sikahele was able to reach out and plant the ball down with his right hand to get the ball down five metres to the left of the uprights,

    Vaka Sikahele scored his second try in the 53rd minute when from ten metres out and in front of the posts Vaka Sikahele ran to his right out of dummy half and crashed through three tackles to get the ball down under the posts.

    Titans contracted Joseph Shannon started from the bench for Burleigh in the Round Fourteen HDC local derby against the Tweed Heads Seagulls with Joseph Shannon coming onto the field in the 21st minute to operate in the front row with Joseph Shannon making his first hit-up almost immediately with Joseph Shannon charging onto the ball to the right of the play the ball with Joseph Shannon making fifteen metres to get the ball to within twenty metres of the try line.

    Joseph Shannon then did well in the 35th minute when after charging onto the ball to the left of the play the ball from his own thirty metre area with after making fifteen metres Joseph Shannon got away a great right arm flick off-load to his right centre who was able to promote the ball a further twenty five metres.

    Joseph Shannon made a further strong run in the 53rd minute when from thirty metres out from his own try line, Joseph Shannon ran over the top of one Seagulls defender and was able to the ball to within three metres of the halfway mark.

    Joseph Shannon also made a try saving tackle in the match when in the 44th minute when Joseph Shannon stopped Seagulls interchange forward Kyhan Weir in front of the posts with a heavy tackle and then in the 48th minute Joseph Shannon stopped Brooklyn Stanley from scoring from dummy half just to the right of the uprights.

    Titans contracted Jaylan De Groot continued at fullback for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in the Round Fourteen Hastings Deering’ Colts local derby against the Burleigh Bears with Jaylan De Groot scoring a double and also recording a try assist in the solid point win for the Seagulls.

    Jaylan De Groot scored his opening try in the 24th minute when after Ryan Foran made a line break down the left touchline, Ryan Foran from thirty metres out put in a right foot kick back to the inside with the outside of his right foot with the ball sitting up perfectly for Jaylan De Groot to collect the ball and run around to score under the posts.

    Jaylan De Groot scored his second try in the 67th minute when Jaylan De Groot received the ball to the left of the play the ball down a short left blindside and dummied to his left before running between two defenders with Jaylan De Groot then beating the Burleigh fullback with a right foot step with Jaylan De Groot then bringing the ball around to score under the posts.

    Jaylan De Groot’s try assist came in the 37th minute when Jaylen De Groot ran to his left out of dummy half wand when he got to ten metres out from the try line, Jaylan De Groot put in a short right foot grubber kick through the line with Caleb Hodges racing through to collect the ball to score mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field.

    Jaylan De Groot also recorded a line break in the 46th minute when from thirty five metres out and to the left of the play the ball Jaylan De Groot broke through the defensive line before being tripped up from behind with Jaylan De Groot quickly back to his feet before finally being held on the halfway mark.

    Reico Ratana started at lock in PBC SHS’s Langer Cup Quarter Final against Mabel Park SHS with Reico Ratana making a great run in the 38th minute when he charged thirty metres through the centre of the field to get the ball twelve metres out from the try line.

    Reico Ratana made a further strong run in the 43rd minute when after running onto the ball to the left of the play the ball Reico Ratana made twenty metres before being brought to ground ten metres out and in front of the posts.

    In the 24th minute, Reico Ratana along with Tanu Nona and Keano Kini did well to hold up the Mabel Park SHS No. 10 over the try line on the left side of the field.

    After missing a number of matches Titans contracted Izayah Petrichvich started at left centre for Coombabah SHS’s Quarter Final against Ipswich SHS with Izayah Petrichvich making a good defensive read in the 4th minute when he came out of the defensive line to hit his opposite number twenty metres out from the try line with Izayah Petrichvich’s defensive pressure forcing a loose pass from the Ipswich SHS right centre.
