In 2022 Dominic Bowman is playing for the Bilambil Jets in the NRRRL U18 competition and will start this weekend’s Round One of the competition at right second row against the Murwillumbah Mustangs.

Dominic Bowman started from the bench for the Cudgen Hornets in Round Three of the 2021 NRRRL U18 competition against Casino RSM and actually hit the ball over the try line in the left corner but the final pass to him was ruled forward.

Dominic Bowman continued also started from the bench in Round Four in the local derby against the Bilambil Jets and in Round Five against Byron Bay.

Dominic Bowman moved into the Cudgen starting side at left centre for Round Seven against the Marist Brothers Rams before moving to the left wing for Round Eight against the Kyogle Turkeys.

Dominic Bowman was outstanding against Kyogle with his size, speed and strength causing all sorts of trouble for the Turkey’s right sided defensive line, including in the 9th minute when after some good work on his inside by Harvey Moase and Jett Forbes (who threw the last pass to him), Dominic Bowman ran over the top of the Kyogle fullback and broke two more tackles to get the ball down in the right corner.

Dominic Bowman was also involved in Jack Field’s runaway 14th minute try. After Dominic Bowman had taken a bomb to his wing on the full he produced a great left arm flick pass inside to Jett Forbes just three metres from his own line with the right centre racing twenty metres downfield before drawing the last line of the Turkeys defence and passing to his right to Field’s who ran eighty metres to score under the posts.

Dominic Bowman continued on the right wing in Round Ten against the Murwillumbah Mustangs.

In the 2020 Group 18 U16 competition Dominic Bowman played for the South Tweed Bears who defeated Murwillumbah 20 – 16 in the Grand Final.

In the regular season in the 2020 Group 18 U16 season, South Tweed won seven games and lost three, along the way scoring 210 points and conceding 160 to finish with a +50 points differential.

In 2019 Dominic Bowman played for the Group 18 U15 representative side at the New South Wales Country Age Championships, playing primarily in the centres and also represented Group 18 in 2018 at the U14 level where he played on the wing.

In the 19th minute Matthew Barrow scored the first try of the 2022 U18 Mal Meninga Cup competition when he dived over in the left corner after good lead up work by Keano Kini. In fact Matthew Barrow played the ball and then got back into position quickly on his left wing to take the pass from Keano Kini after the fullback had drawn the Souths Logan right winger off his line.

Matthew Barrow was also named on the left wing for Round Two against the Redcliffe Dolphins and after the Seagulls had a Round Three bye, Matthew Barrow also started on the left wing in Round Four against the Easts Tigers with Matthew Barrow scoring a second half try in the Seagulls big win.

Matthew Barrow almost scored in the 9th minute when he raced towards the left conrer from forty metres out after he received a great cut-out ball from Josh Lynn, but just as he seemingly beat the last Tigers defender, Matthew Barrow was ankle tapped from behind around eight metres out and before he was able to regain his feet, Matthew Barrow was grounded just two metres short.

Matthew Barrow made a line break in the 33rd minute when after good work on his inside Matthew Barrow was able to promote the ball thirty metres down the left touchline in the attacking twenty metre zone.

Matthew Barrrow positioned himself well in the 31st minute when he tracked back to field a Tigers kick to the right corner. After taking possession of the ball when facing his own goal line Matthew Barrow wheeled around to his right and from just eight metres out from his own line Matthew Barrow was able to bring the ball out fifteen metres to over the twenty metre mark.

Matthew Barrow continued on the left wing in Round Five against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls scoring in the 21st minute when Josh Lynn put in a right foot chip kick towards the left wing which Matthew Barrow took on the full and comfortably put the ball down under little or no pressure.

Matthew Barrow continued on the left wing in Round Six against the Norths Devils as well as in Round Seven in the local derby against the Burleigh Bears.
